Rene Geyer
Rene Geyer is a unique talent, one of the worlds finest singers and an Australian
music legend, not a singer whose career is dependant on yesterday or tomorrows
hit song, but someone who lives for her next performance, on stage or on record,
someone who refuses to rest on her laurels. The voice was always there. From the
first time she opened her mouth those who heard turned their heads.

CW Stoneking
He plays guitar like a demon, wears natty threads, sings catchy tunes about singing
dodo birds, hollers like a 1920s tent show blues shouter and mutters to himself on stage.
Drawing inspiration from influences that include pre-war blues, hillbilly, old jazz and
prison work songs, the idiosyncratic CW Stoneking is a true entertainer who relies on
musicianship, stagecraft and performance to invoke the spirit of the 1920s Deep South
blues. The Primitive Horn Orchestra will join CW.
Having just returned from an adventure around the globe Darren Hanlon returns
home to play a run of shows on his native soil. Over the last three months
his journey took him to such exotic locales as Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Italy,
UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Finland and the USA. Playing to audiences of
anywhere between 1000 and 10, in clubs, book shops, cinemas, churches and
even the odd living room Darren regaled people with his songs and confused
them with his thick South East Queensland accent.
Shane Howard (founding member of Goanna) and Neil Murray (founding member
of the Warumpi Band) are a couple of weathered songmen who, despite the passing
trends and decades, still stand tall in this country. Each has contributed some of the
finest songs to Australian music. In their songs we glimpse a vision of Australia as an
independent, compassionate, free thinking country, where its indigenous heritage
and environment are protected and respected to form the foundation of a unique
national identity.

NYCs bravest and bawdiest burlesque duo take the audience through a whirlwind
tour of their legendary performance career. Beginning with the shocking act that
got the two hell-raisers expelled from catholic school, the sisters fly through the
born-again years, rock stardom and rehab and ascend the trapeze to bring you
the comeback to end all comebacks! Dirty songs and double entendres mix with
irreverent circus routines and guilty pop culture pleasures. They straddle the
hilarious gap between performance art and burlesque like no others!
Dan Sultan was born with pure and extraordinary talent and is quickly gaining
the momentum and recognition that he deserves. His debut album Homemade
Biscuits is an accomplished album displaying versatility of talent with exceptional
vocals that range from deep and velvet soulful yearnings to soaring heights
reminiscent of Jeff Buckley. Each hook-laden track finds its influence in Dans
soulful brand of roots-blues-country rock and delivers something unique.

Lisa Miller
Abby Dobson
Lisa Miller has what every singer strives for - a voice of her own. She gives the songs she
sings a colour and a pathos which is utterly distinctive. There are very few others with
the ability to convey such a degree of soulful emotion, and fewer still who write songs
that cut so close to the heart of the matter. Miller has received unanimous praise from
reviewers across the board, earning a place as one of Australias finest. Her fifth solo
album, the beautiful Morning In The Bowl Of Night, affirms that place once and for all.
The former lead singer of Sydney band Leonardos Bride this year releases her
much anticipated solo album Rise Up. A highly regarded singer/songwriter in
the Australian music industry, Abby has spent much of her time since Leonardos
Bride collaborating with Australian artists, such as Paul Mac. She has also
spent time writing for film and television including the award-winning series
Secret Life Of Us.

James Blundell
One of Australian country musics true success stories, James is the recipient of
nine Golden Guitar Awards and is a five-time ARIA Award nominee. He was the
first Australian country act to sign to a major recording deal in the USA and is
recognized as the act responsible for turning a younger demographic of Australians
onto country music. Way Out West his duet with James Reyne was one of the
biggest selling singles of 1992. His current album Ring Around The Moon was
recently announced as one of the finalists for ARIA Country Album Of The Year.
The Honeys
After 18 years apart, the warm golden sounds of The Honeys are back for their
belated second new album. The reformed Honeys are a three-piece core of Grant
Shanahan (Catherine Wheel, Eva Trout), Bruce Begley (The Snow Leopards,
Flicker) and Andrea Croft (Polyanna, Catherine Wheel). Songs on the record vary
from guitar pop to country, and rock to ambient. The album is solid evidence that
Bruce and Grant are still writing quality songs and Andrea is in peak form as a
vocalist.

Deborah Conway
Deborah Conway and Willy Zygier have been playing together since the gold
selling album Bitch Epic in 1993. Many albums later their music has been in the
charts, in the movies, the telly and living rooms everywhere. Currently they have
turned their repertoire into a warm and woody performance of acoustic based
songs featuring their most recent release Summertown, new tunes from their
upcoming album and some old favourites.
Conway is subtle and restrained. Partners in music and life, she and Zygier
create upbeat gems, dramatic ballads, lullabies and pop with country music being
an almost unconscious influence. Why Conway isnt a world-famous diva is a
mystery. Rolling Stone

Musica Vivas Mnage presents leading guitarist /composer Doug de Vries, whos
been recording beautiful new music in Brazil, officially launching another stunning
CD collaboration: Jacaranda with choro-Master Mauricio Carrilho and Rios choro

powerful voice Kerri has traversed the globe and been enriched through the years
by the music and musicians she has encountered. She is recognised as something
special by critics, artists and punters alike. Her deep, soulful rasp has that authentic,

Lior
Over the past 18 months Lior has been consumed with releasing his critically
acclaimed debut album Autumn Flow internationally, as well as creating his
second and much awaited album due for release in Feb 9th, 2008. Lior will be

Internationally acclaimed Zulya and her exquisite band the Children of the
Underground have been enchanting audiences all through Europe from Serbia to
Siberia, Berlin to Moscow, Tatarstan to Helsinki with their performances of original
music inspired by Zulyas Tatar and Russian roots. Their recent release 3 Nights received
high critical acclaim and secured a position in the top 10 of European World Music charts
for several months - a feat no other Australian album in this genre has ever achieved.
Her band is exquisite... but its [Zulyas] rich, emotive vocals that shine. Her shimmering
