Updated: May 2015

From the Finance Committee

Through the middle of May, our contributions to the Annual Operating Fund are over $20,000 below budget.
We would appreciate you reviewing your giving vs your pledged amount for 2015 to insure it is correct. This
becomes critical as we enter the summer months when giving traditionally drops, but we continue to have expenses.
We are now providing new giving options such as using your credit or debit card on the Central on the Square
website (www.centralonthesquare.org), or by signing up for the automatic contribution from your checking or
savings account. If you would like additional information on either of these options, please contact Missy Igou,
Finance Administrator at Central. You can reach her at 717-264-4113, extension 109.

JOY VILLAGE
Seven children from the Loyengalani area of Kenya just began a long journey to their
new home, the Joy Childrens Village. These children have endured major hardships in
this remote and desolate area of Kenya. Over the past several months the legal aspects
of their transfer have been completed. Pray for safe travel through this dangerous region. Lift their names up to the Lord: brothers Loipitu and Samuel, twins Naomi and
Papaya, and also Aschew, Lobay and Safi. Thank you all.

Giving Opportunity! The Wednesday Morning Women's Bible Study is walking to support a
mission project and we invite you to join in! When we spend 15 minutes doing a physical
activity, we count that as a mile and we donate to our projects for every "mile" we exercise. This session we are supporting a child for a year at the Presbyterian sponsored Joy
Children's Village in Kenya and the Diaper Ministry at Central. For more information,
please see Jean Diehl or Laurie McKelvie.

Just $10 gives you the opportunity to win one of the following prizes from
the CPC Golf Tournament!
2 each US OPEN 2016 TICKETS, GOLF PACKAGES AT VARIOUS GOLF/COUNTRY CLUBS,
DESIGNER JEWELRY, SKI AND SNOWBOARDING PACKAGE FOR 2.
You dont have to be present to win. Drawing will be on August 23rd.
Contact Carol Rohr at 717-261-6083 or
email: [email protected] to purchase your tickets
Are you tired of carrying around your checkbook? Do you never have cash with you? Jesus is the
best news of all, but we have secondary good news: it is now possible to give/tithe online! Just go
to www.centralonthesquare.org and click the Donate icon. If you have any problems, see Don
Wissner or Erin Regan and they will be glad to help you out.
Are you a reader? We are reading The Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway
for our get together in the church parlor Wednesday June 3rd at 7:00. All are
welcome to join in reading selected books, discussing them in the monthly
meetings, and enjoying each others company. Hope to see you there. Any
questions? Call Karl Shreiner 717-263-4891.

Hey Families!! Check out Camp!

Summer adventures are just around the corner. One adventure to consider is

Full brochures about Camp Krislund are located on the
wooden shelf near the desk in the church lobby. Or, you
can check out their website at KRISLUND.ORG. Scholarships are available.
Not sure if its for you? Call or email me and I can put you

Everyone is welcome.
REMINDER:
On September 27, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. John Walker, national AGO President
