3. Before reading a plate, determine the location of the data export. Measurements can be saved
on the instrument or printed. To connect the instrument to a printer, select menu>setup>enter
on the keypad. See the users manual for compatible printers. Quick measurements are not
saved on the instrument.
Note: a test definition is required to save plate measurement results on the
instrument.
4. To perform a quick single point measurement, select Quick using the F1 key or in the menu bar.
5. Two options will appear on the display: Single Pt and Kinetic. For simple endpoint
measurements. Select Single Pt using the F1 key.
6. Next, select the measurement filter by highlighting the filter using the arrow keys. Once the
desired wavelength is selected, press enter to select a reference filter.
Note: A reference reading is recommended to account for optical interference that
may result from the plate. For reference reading, select a wavelength that the
sample of interest does not absorb.
6. Initiate the measurement by selecting the F5 key, Start Meas. The measurements will start after
initiation of the light source.
7. The readings will appear on the screen in real-time. The final data (measurement data
reference data = final data) will appear on the display after both the measurement and
reference readings have occurred. To display the raw data on the screen, select F3 and F4 to
scroll between the three screens (measurement data, reference data and final data).
8. Select F5 to Print. To include raw data in the printout, select Yes>Enter when prompted.
