ASSIGNMENT PAPER REQUIREMENTS

In this assignment you need to analyze the requirements in the scenario given below. Based on the
requirements, you are required to produce a report and simulate the configuration of tunneling in the
implementation of IPv6 in IPv4 network.
At the end of this assignment, you should be able to produce a compilation of complete report and
analysis. You may discuss the command used by GNS3 software tools to simulate the tunneling concepts
based on your proposed recommendation. GNS3 is a graphical network simulator that allows simulation
of complex networks.
Requirements:
As an individual assignment, you need to present FIVE issues related to the transition phase when we
want to deploy IPv6 on top of IPv4 architecture. Based on your analysis and findings, using your own
words, produce a summary of report related to the issue. In the report, you should provide the
configuration needed for the implementation phase as you need to simulate the scenario by using GNS3.
Learning Outcomes
1. Discuss FIVE related issues on the deployment of IPv6.
2. Design and proposed new network layout in order to cater for the transition phase.
3. Use GNS3 to simulate the required scenario.

The assignment report must include the following:

CRITERIA
Grades will be given based on the documentation/report submitted;
SUBMISSION INFORMATION
Student who submits this individual assignment later than the deadline date stated will only get
0.5%.
The report must be print out by using Microsoft Word Arial font style with size of 11 and 1 line
spacing.
The final product should be polished, typed report of at least 20 pages or 3000 words and
attached with the LUCT cover page.
You must submit the report with softcopy of your report. Burn the report in the CD. Folder of
images/pictures/diagrams must also be included in the CD.
It should include information from no less than five independent sources and be referenced in
accordance with acceptable standards.
Charts, tables and diagrams are expected to illustrate the network layout, software (OS and other
tools) and security mechanisms to be implemented, as well as other processes or workflow.
SPECIFIC INFORMATION
This project is a group work and it contributes 40% to the coursework. 30% for reporting and
10% on GNS3 presentation.
Ensure that your paper is well organized so that each sections flows smoothly into the next.
Be sure to check spelling error. Marks will be deducted for papers with excessive grammar,
punctuation and spelling errors.
MARKING CRITERIA
The following is the marks deduction for this group assignment:
Late submission = 0.5% is given regardless of errors/mistakes.

Not following question requirements = -0.5% is given as long as student never follow any of
the question requirements.
Plagiarism = 0% is awarded immediately.
Let others copy your work = 0% is awarded immediately.
Off topic work = 0% is awarded immediately.
The group assignment will be given marks based on the following scheme:
Complete Assignment Submission: Soft copy (CD) and hard copy (Report printed out
in A4 paper size attached with LUCT cover page (compulsory) and bibliography &
references if applicable)
