Procedures For Connecting Switchgear and PSA
Procedures For Connecting Switchgear and PSA
Procedures For Connecting Switchgear and PSA
o One Extra Contact (apart from the contact being used in the
scheme) from Local and Remote shall be taken to the
Terminal Block as per the RED MAREKD Modified drawings for
the switchgear.
o One Contact from PSA and SCADA each shall be wired to the
terminal block as per RED MARKED Modified drawings.
Install new Terminal Block Strip along with all accessories i.e. CChannel, Tag Carrier, Protective Strip and Terminal Numbering, End
Plates and End Stoppers
Local / Remote / PSA and SCADA and Breaker Open / Close Status
Signals shall be taken to the designated Terminal Block No referring to
Approved Red Marked Drawings
25Core 22AWG Status Cable shall be used to carry these signals from
the terminal blocks installed inside the switchgear to the terminal
blocks inside the PSA Panels consulting the IO List and Approved Red
Marked Modified Drawings
Modify the existing switchgear scheme to accommodate and segregate
Local, Remote, PSA and SCADA positions in Close and Trip Circuit using
Approved Red Marked Modified Drawings
14Core 14AWG Cable shall be used to run the control signals from
terminal blocks of the switchgear to the terminal blocks of the PSA
panel consulting the IO List and Approved Red Marked Modified
Drawings
PML meters shall be daisy chained as per the Daisy Chain Approved
Connection Diagram and signals brought to PSA Panel V21-R1A-PSA002 via 22AWG 3 Core Wire.
Lock Out Relay Connection and 94 Operated Connection of the
respective Feeders shall be wired to the Digital Input of the PML Meter
as per the IO List
Perform Continuity Test / Loop Check for the modified circuit from
Switchgear to PSA panel and highlight in as-builts
With the breaker still in test mode (i.e. Disconnector open and
Grounding closed), turn on the MCB for Tripping and Closing Circuit.
Turn on the MCB DC-1 and AC-1, AC-Aux inside the PSA Panel and
power on the IO Controllers DPAC-1 and DPAC-2
Using the IO list, check the status of Direct / Remote / PSA / SCADA
selector switch.
Each position of Selector Switch should light up its respective LED (IO
List to be used as reference) and Digital Input which will be viewed
from HMI
Check the Lock Out Relay Operation and check the status on PSA Panel
from HMI by jumping the contact of the Lock Out Relay. Special
Cautious measures to be taken that Lock Out Relay should not trigger
any other Breaker
Opening and Closing of Circuit Breaker while still in test mode (i.e.
Disconnector open and Grounding closed) via Local, Remote, PSA and
SCADA
Do the testing of opening and closing against the positions as per the
reaction matrix below
