Club Service projects

1.0 Introduction
Club service projects are very important for each Interact general meeting to attract the
attention of students to join the club. However, some games and/or activities that we
have during these general meetings are getting really boring because we usually do the
same things again and again.
We have come up with some fun and exciting activities that we have not done before in
our previous general meetings that will definitely be enjoyable for everyone. This is a
compilation of activities that we can carry out during general meetings for the interactors
to enjoy themselves and have a bit of fun after a tiring day of school.

4.0 Content
1. Down Down Down
Everyone will stand in a circle. One person will be given a tennis ball (or something
of that sort) and that person will throw it to someone else. If the person catches the
ball, he/she will pass the ball on to someone else. If someone drops the ball, he/she
has to go down on one knee. If the same person drops the ball again, he/she has to go
down on 2 knees. If he/she drops it again, he/she will have to go down on one elbow,
and then 2 elbows and lastly his/her chin. If that same person drops the ball again
after that, he/she is out of the game
2. Blind Man
Everyone sits in a circle and one person will be blindfolded and placed in the middle
of a circle. Everyone leaves their seat while the middle person will be spun around a
few times. The person in the middle will then be given a roll up newspaper. Now
everyone will return to their seats, but dont return to your original seat, switch places
with everyone else in the room and sit randomly back in the circle. Now the person in
the middle will feel their way around and lightly whack whoever he/she comes in
contact with. The person who gets whack has to say the words walk away in the
weirdest voice they can make. If the blind man gets the person right, they then switch
places and the person who got whacked will now be the next blind man and so on. If
the blind man does not guess the person correctly, he/she will have to feel their way
around and whack someone else and try to guess again. Everyone is allowed to
switch places when the blind man is walking around searching for someone to fool
him.
3. Song Title
Split everyone into teams (depending on how many people there are). Each team is
required to write down as many song titles as possible consisting of a word that was
given to them in under 2 minutes. After the 2 minutes is up, everyone has to stop
writing, group by group will read out the list of song titles that they wrote with
everyone. If an opposing team has the same title in their list, both teams must cancel
out those titles from their list. The remaining song titles left on the list will count for
a point each. The team with the most amount of points after a whole list of words are
given wins.
4. Name One Game
Everyone sits in a circle. Someone will start the game by saying Name one ___ for
example : name one basket then the next person will have to say something that has
the word basket in it like picnic basket and he/she has to pass it on to the next
person by saying name one picnic. And then the next person will continue on by
saying something with the word picnic in it like picnic blanket and pass it on to
the next person by saying name one blanket and the game goes on. If someone
cant think of a word to say or takes too long, he/she will have to do a forfeit that is
given to them by whoever that comes up with the best forfeit.

5. Catchphrase
Students are split into groups of 4. Those 4 people from each group has to partner up
with someone from the same group, so well have a pair of partners in each group.
Each group will stand around a table, partners on opposite sides of each other. A stack
of cards will be placed face down in the middle of the table. On those cards are
names of celebrities, movies, tv shows, songs, sports etc. A timer will be set for 2
minutes. The first person is required to pick the first card off the top of the stack,
without letting anyone else see, immediately when the timer starts, he/she then has to
describe or act out what is written on the card without actually saying the
word/phrase for his/her partner to guess. When his/her partner guesses right, the next
person will pick another card off the deck and do the same for his/her partner to
guess. When the timer goes off, the person who is holding a card in his/her hand who
is still trying to get his/her partner to guess , along with his/her partner will lose that
round. Whichever pair is the first to lose 2 rounds loses the game.
*prizes such as chips, cookies and chocolates will be given to the winners
