DROPS BABY 2008/09, PATTERNS ON THE INTERNET!


Finally the new patterns for DROPS Baby are being uploaded! We'll daily upload the patterns as they are being proof
read and translated. The patterns are chosen based mainly on the voting results and all your comments. You will see
that our new baby-collection is big on numbers and features a great variety of designs. You'll find the cutest babies in
everything from basic garments like trousers and jackets to ponchos and dresses. There are also a lot of accessories
such as blankets, hats, socks, mittens and comforters. The colors range from white and light pastels to strong, vibrant
colors, the latter represented mainly by Fabel.

Knitting tension: 19 sts x 25 rows stocking sts with 2 threads = 10 x 10 cm
Hat: Remember knitting tension! Knit piece in the round. Knit hat double as long as finished measurement and
similar in both ends. On completion bottom part is turned into the hat so it is doubled. Cast on 15 sts on double
pointed needles size 4 mm with 2 threads Alpaca. Knit hat in stocking sts. Knit 1 round, on next round knit 2 sts on
each sts = 30 sts. Insert 3 marking threads or stitch markers into piece (with 10 sts between). Now inc 1 sts on each
side of marking threads or stitch holders on every other row 10-11-12 times in total = 90-96-102 sts. Knit stocking sts
until piece measures 55-57-58 cm. Insert 3 new marking threads or stitch marakers into piece (with 30-32-34 sts
between). Now dec 1 sts on each side of each marking thread or stitch marker on every other row 10-11-12 times in
total (dec by K 2 sts tog) = 30 sts. On next round knit sts tog 2 by 2 = 15 sts. Pull thread through remaining sts, pull
tog and sew away well. Piece measures approx 63-66-68 cm.
Assembly: Sew around opening of hat and pull tog. Turn bottom part of hat so it is doubled. Sew on with a few sts so
hat stays in place.
SCARF
Knitting tension: 12 sts stocking sts = 10 cm in width
Garter st: Knit all rows back and forth on needle
Moss stitch: 1st row: * K1, P1 *, repeat from *-*. 2nd row: K over P and P over K. Repeat 2nd row.
Cable pattern: See diagram M.1. Diagrams are seen from RS.
Scarf: Cast on 58 sts on needle size 7 mm with Eskimo. Knit 8 rounds garter sts see explanation above. Knit next
row as follows - from RS: 6 sts moss stitch see explanation above - M.1 (46 sts) and finish with 6 sts moss stitch.
Knit until piece measures approx 148 cm adjust to one pattern repeat in height of M.1. Knit 8 rows garter sts and
cast off.

Boble knit as follows in one sts: K1, yo, K1 yo K1 (= 5 sts), turn piece. Knit 4 rows stocking sts.
= over these 5 sts. Then Pass 2nd sts on right needle over 1st sts, continuing pass 3rd sts over 1st sts, then
pass 4th sts over 1st sts and finally pass 5th sts over 1st sts (= 1 sts left).

= slip 1 sts onto cable needle to back of piece, K3 , P1 from cable needle
= Slip 3 sts onto cable needle to front of piece, P1 , K3 from cable needle
= Slip 3 sts onto cable needle to back of piece, K 3 K 3 from cable needle
