HiExperts,

IhavenoexperiencewithEWM,thoughihaveworkedontheERPWarehousemanagement.EWM
seemstobebitdifficultforme

IamtryingtosetupECCEWMGTSintegrationforasimpletransitprocedurewithSafekeeping.

IcreatemyIBDinECC,entertheT1andMRN#,IseeaTransitbeingcreatedinGTSbythe
normalprocessandthesameIBDgetsdistributedtoEWM.
InEWM,IseethesameT1andMRNfromECCisavailableinEWM.Isetupthe"inyard"status
andseeanotherTransitbeingcreatedinGTSwiththesameIBD#.

WithoutT1andMRNonmyIBDinECC,noTransitinGTS.
NowwhenIkeyinT1/MRNinEWMandset"Inyard"statusformyIBDinEWM,Icanfinda
TransitinGTS.Soonly1TransitinGTS/

Somyquestionisontheusualprocess

1)ShouldwestopkeyingintheT1andMRNinECCanddoitonlyinEWM?

2)IthoughtwhenIsetup"inyard"statusinEWMforthesameMRNthatwaskeyedinECC,system
willstillcheckifthereisaTransitavailablealreadywiththesameMRN#beforecreatinganewtransit
inGTS

Cansomeonehelpmewiththestandardprocedureplease?

EWMwasused.

SoIamtryingheretoansweryourquestionsbasedonmyproperexperienceeventhoughasstated
aboveIneverencounteredthecasewhereEWMwasinvolved.

.Indeed,GTSshould"aggregate"thedifferentIBDs

thatsharethesameT1/MRNnumber.Inotherwords,youshouldhaveauniqueTransitdeclarationin
GTSformultipleIBDwiththesameTx/MRNnumber.

Frommyexperience,theonlycaseweretheaggregationdidnotworkwaswhenahugenumberof
IBDswasupdatedsimulatenouslyinECCwiththesameMRNnumber(foronecustomer,wehad
sometimes50IBDsupdatedwiththesameMRNnumberthroughaZprograminasingleshot).In
suchcases,GTSdidnotcopewiththevolumeofdatareceivedandstartedtocreatemultipleTransit
documentsinsteadofaggregatingthembasedontheMRN.

Inthetestcaseyouhavedescribedinyourpost,whatwasthestatusofthe1stTransitdocument
(createdbytheIBD)whenthe2ndTransitdocument(createdbyEWM)wascreated?

Movingnowtoyourfirstquestion,ifyou/wedon'tfindthereasonwhytheIBDsarenotaggregated,
thenindeed"maybe"youwillhavetoentertheMRNonlyinEWM,"maybe".Inmyopinion,partof
theanswerisnottechnicalbutratherpractical:TheMRNhastobeenteredmanuallyintothesystem.
Doesthereceptiondepartmenthaveaccess/authorizations/knowledgetodoitdirectlyinEWM???

IhadthesameopiniononIBDsandTransitrelationship.

SAPisasmallworld .Ihadopportunitytocheckthesameprogram thatyouaredescribing

toupdateMRNformultipleIBDs.IndeeditsbecauseofhugevolumesandwhentheRFC
queuesstartprocessingsimultaneouslyitcreatesmultipletransits.Settingupdelaystatements
inthecustomtransactiondoesn'thelpalwayswhentherearetoomanyIBDsbeingprocessed
simultaneously.Ithinkwemustensurethereisatransitcreatedforthe1stIBDbeforeprocessing
withtheMRNupdatefor2ndone(Justafterthe1stoneisupdated).NotforallIBDsthough.Just
between1stand2ndone.

RegardingTransitstatus:

WhentheT1andMRNwasupdatedintheIBDinECC,wehadatransitcreatedreadyand
availableinGTS.Howeverarrivalnotificationwasnotsent.

InEWM,statusforthesameIBDwassetto"Inyard"AnewtransitgotcreatedinGTSwiththe
sameMRNwhichwasshockingforme.

Fewminutesbackwhenichecked(whichis4hourslatertocreationofthetransitbyEWM).Isee
achangelogbytheRFCuserfromEWMsystemhadcanceledtheTransitdeclaration.

CouldbesomeonehadremovedthedeliveryassignmentinEWM.Ineedtocheckandconfirm
this.

Myexpectationis

1)IfIupdatetheT1andMRNinECC,letthetransitbecreatedinGTS.ButwhenIsettheIBD"in
yard"statusinEWM,itshouldcheckwhetherthereisatransitavailablealreadyforthesame
MRNbeforecreationI'llexecutesomemoretestsandconfirmthis.

IhadalookatthepieceofcodewheretheaggregationofMRNistakingplaceinGTS.

Ihaveseen2thingsthatcouldexplainyourissue:

(1)OtherthantheTx/MRNnumber,theaggregationlogictakesintoaccountotherthingslike
theLogicalsystem.SomaybetheaggregationisnotworkinginyourcasebecauseECC
andEWMarenotsharingthesameLogicalsystem?

(2)IBDstransferredtoGTSaremappedintable/SAPSLL/CORREF.Pleasetrytohavea
lookatthistable.Ifyoufind2entrieswiththesameIBDnumberthenmaybethereisa
mismatchinoneofthe"secondary"fieldsofthetablethatcouldexplainyourissue(e.g.
sameIBDnumberbutdifferentObjecttype,ReferenceApplication,etc...)

1)IthinkitwasjustthetimingissuetohavemultipletransitsforsameMRN.Itriedwitha
freshflowwithall3systemstogether.ThereisjustonetransitcreatedevenafterIsetin
yardstatusformyIBDinEWM.So,multipletransitissueisjustaveryrarecase.

2)IseeadifferenceintheCORREFtableupdatewithrespecttotheQALREF.
WheneveranIBDisreplicatedfromEWM,theQALREFissetasEXTIDFandnotas
EXTID.

ThisisleadingmetoanotherissueforwhichIamworkingwithSAP

So,whenmytransitiscreatedfromEWMsystemdirectly.WhichmeansIentertheT1
andMRNinEWMandsetthestatusas"Inyard"AtransitgetscreatedinGTS.This
transitiscreatedunderQALREFEXTIDFinCORREFtable.

WhenwegetintheTransitDisplayInboundactivitiestransactionandtrytofindoutthe
TransitwiththeInbounddeliverynumber.Itdoesn'tshowmytransitdeclaration
becausethestandardcodeisconsideringtheQALREFtobe"EXTID"alwayswhenwe
mentionthefeedersystemdata.

I'llkeepyoupostedifIgetanyresponsefromSAP.

ThisworkswithEXTIDwhenmytransitisreplicatedfromECC.Inmycase,I
amfacingissueswhenthetransitisbeingreplicatedfromEWMsystem.

I'venotcheckedthecodeinEWMyet.Tobefrank,noclueonwhichcodeto
checkinEWM

Apologiesforalateresponsehere(holidays)...

ToaddresstheissuewiththeRFC,takealookatNote1875119,createdforoneofmy
projectssometimeago.ItallowstheuseofqRFCinsteadoftheusualtRFC,andmakesa
worldofdifferencewhentryingtotransferlargenumbersofDeliveriestogether.

ObviouslythatNoteisforanERPfeedersystem,butmaybeSAPwouldalsoprovidethe
samefunctionalityforEWM(you'dneedtocreateanIncidenttomakethatrequest).
