impacts on its target group, including enhancing their awareness, improving
their self-esteem, and developing their communication and dialogue skills.

TRAINING SYLLABUS
7th January to 12th January-2015 (Introduction of Computer): What is a Computer, Central Processing Unit (C.P.U.), Un-interpreted
Power Supply (U.P.S.), Key board, Mouse & whats its function.
Typing through type tutor.
1st February to 10th February 2015 (MS WORD): Define Office Automation, Integrated Software package, need for
word processor, Ms-Office.
Components of a new word document like Title bar, Minimize Button,
Maximize Button, Close Button, Menu bar, Standard Tool bar,
Formatting Tool bar, Rulers, Scroll button, Drawing Tool bar, View
Buttons & Status bar.
How to create, open, save & close a new word document.
Editing Documents using Cut, copy & Paste.
Formatting the Document using formatting tool bar like font style,
Underline, Bold, Italic, Color etc.
Paragraph spacing and setting Indents.
15th March to 18th March-2015: Changing Column Width & Row height.
Insert , delete Column, rows & Cells.
Moving & copying cell contents.
Transferring data between worksheet.
Print Preview & print the worksheet.

GRANT OF CERTIFICATE
After completion of the training programme on 10 th April-2015
a valedictory session was conducted. Through examination on both theory and
practical papers, achievement of the beneficiaries was determined. After valuation
of both theory and practical examination Certificates of Merit had been granted to
all trainees.
SUCCESS INDICATORS
All trainees are capable to describe the names and functions of the
Computer parts/accessories
All trainees operate the Computer comfortably.
All trainees have knowledge on shortcut key functions and its application.
All trainees knowledge on necessity and utility of Computer is considerably
enhanced.
The trainees have now practical knowledge on working in MS Word, Excel &
Power Point presentation etc.
Interest and expectation for higher learning in Computer Education arise.
CONCLUSION
Almost all the Governmental Community Welfare activities
including vocational skill training are focused on Rural Areas. As a result a
large number of marginalized families in urban areas are usually deprived
from these facilities. Although most of the educated Youths in urban pockets
belongs to SEBC and they are seeking for assistance to build up their carrier
in
different
technical
dimensions,
they
are
deprived
