FORGETTING ELLA

INT SITTING ROOM-DAY1-DAY.


We are looking down the length of a comfortable middle class
home. The sitting room consist of a carpet,original painted
wall,Television and a sound system.
Emmy is a tall light skinned guy with cropped hair and is
between 25-30years and has got a soft spot for his wife
Ella.Emmy is sitting on one of the couch in the sitting room
listening to his wifes favourite blues.Emmy and Ella are
couples,they have been married for one year.The main door
leading to the entrance of the house opens and Ella comes in
back from work. (music playing)
ELLA
Hi honey
EMMY
Welcome back baby,how was work
today?
ELLA
Today wasnt as stressful as
yesterday.
Emmy and Ella are dancing to the music.
EMMY
I really hate seeing you stressed.
I am so happy you came into my
life.
ELLA
awww
Emmy and Ella hugs and kiss each other.
INT BEDROOM ROOM-DAY 2-DAY.
Emmy and Ellas bedroom is a large angled room with a 32
inch television, wardrobe and wedding picture portrait on
the wall. Ella and Emmy wakes up and realises its late,Ella
has to go to work.
ELLA
(Getting ready and complaining)
I have to take a cab,super late i
dont want issues, we have a
meeting at 9am its 8:30,not dressed
up.

EMMY
I will drop you off.
Ella is at work,her best friend Sandra pops up into her
office and takes a seat. Sandra and Ella have been best
friends since their childhood though Sandra is still
single.Ella invites sandra for the weedkend.

INT BEDROOM ROOM-DAY 2-EVENING.


Ella is busy working on her laptop. Emmy comes out of the
toilet and is standing at the door watching his wife do her
thing.
ELLA
Honey, i just got a mail from my
director telling me to represent
him in a meet at Swansea tomorrow
morning at 11am.
EMMY
Its sudden. Emmy hugs Ella already
missing you. well, its for good
isnt? you should start getting
your stuffs ready for the trip.
EMMY CONTD
When did he say you are returning?
ELLA
In 2days time,I would be back
before you know it. Love you
EMMY
Love you too.

INT BEDROOM ROOM-DAY 3-DAY.


(O.S) Ella embarks on a trip and encountered an auto crash,
it is happenning in a lonely road of which there is only
one witness which is a power biker,immediately the accident
occured,he quickly went to the vehicle trying to rescue the
passangers, Ella is the first he could resucue as soon as he
is trying to save the other passangers,the vehicle exploded

and caught fire and everyone was burnt to death,Ella is


unconcious 4mins after she is brought out of the vehicle and
was quickly rushed to the hospital. as soon as the doctors
got hold of her,the biker was nowhere to be found.the
police got to the scene 5mins after Ella was taken to the
hospital the police found her identity card close to the
vehicle and used the address in the I.D to locate her
house.
POLICE
(knocks at the door)
EMMY
(DOOR OPENS)
Hello
POLICE
Are you Mr. Emmy please?
EMMY
Yes i am,is there any problem?
POLICE
Yes, we found this identification
card in one of the vehicle that
crashed, everyone in the vehicle
was burnt to death,so we had to
check for any identification in
other to contact the relatives of
the diseased.
Emmy is in shock, looking so confused.
POLICE CONTD
Please accept our sympathy.
(FADES OUT)
Emmy is experiencing a pensive trauma.He could not sleep or
eat,all he does is drinks and thinks of the good times he
spent with his loving and caring wife.

INT SITTING ROOM-DAY4-DAY.


(phone ringing)Sandra calling.
SANDRA(o.S)
Hello Emmy whats wrong been trying to reach Ella,She invited
me over for the weekend. How are you doing?
EMMY
Ella is dead.
SANDRA (O.S)
What? I will be there in a few mins.

The door is opened, Sandra walks in, Emmy is sitting


helplessly on one of the couches in the sitting room.She
consoles him and she feels terrible for loosing her best
friend who stood with her when no one is there.
SANDRA
You have to eat something, you
cant be like this forever you
know.
EMMY
Thanks but am not hungry, I will
eat when i get hungry, i
appreciate.
SANDRA
Well if you say so. but you should
eat even though your not hungry,you
have not had anything to eat since
you heard of Ellas death. all
youve been doing is drinking
alcohol.Thats not good for your
health you know! And it would not
solve any problem.
EMMY
Do not preach to me,all i have is
gone what else do you want me to
do.
SANDRA
Its okay ,you gonna be fine.just
(MORE)

take it easy.I will see you
tomorrow.
EMMY
Thanks for coming around.
SANDRA
Its fine
(FADES OUT)
Its been 3 months since Ella died. Emmy is now stronger,
Sandra kept on coming around to ensure that Emmy is safe,
Sandra is taking very good care of Emmy and also cooking for
him.
INT/EXT MONTAGE
Emmy and Sandra are seen drinking alcohol and are both drunk
proceeding to the room.They both are having sex sex.Sandra
is not comfortable with what happened between them,she
quickly fled to her house without the consent of Emmy.
Emmy is seen waking up and realises that Sandra has gone
home,he felt different,he has no regrets for sleeping with
Sandra, rather he thinks of marrying her since Ella is gone.
Emmy is seen at Sandras house telling her how much he feels
about her and how he would want to spend the rest of his
life with her. Sandra did not agree at the initial stage but
as time went on she falls in love with Emmy. As time goes by
Emmy and Sandra are seen getting married. 6 weeks after
their marriage Sandra is seen pregnant.
Emmy and Sandra are seen living happily together.
INT SITTING ROOM-DAY 5-DAY.
Its a year and six months Ella surfaced,Sandra is shocked
as Ella comes into the sitting room.
SANDRA
(Scared,confused,shocked and screams)
Jesus Christ.Ghost! Ghost!
Emmy hears Sandra screaming, runs out from the bedroom to
the sitting room and sees Ella, with shock he screams Ghost
looking so confused. he holds Sandra very close to him, the
are both in shock.

ELLA
(furious)
What the hell is wrong with you
both,i am not a ghost.I had a fatal
accident and was hospitalised. I
fell into a coma twice in 1year and
6 months.I lost my memory,I was
been taking care by the doctors and
nurses not until i regained
consciousness and found my way back
to the house.
Emmy walks to Ella and hugs her,Ella burst into tears.Sandra
is still in shock at Ellas arrival.Everyone takes a sit.
ELLA CONT,D
Meanwhile,Sandra what are you doing
in my house?and Emmy whose baby is
she carrying.
EMMY
Its a long story.
ELLA
Cut it short,i am all ears.
Emmy and Ella excuses Sandra from the sitting room to the
hallway.
EMMY
Really sorry for what happened to
you,ive missed you all these
while.
ELLA
Missed you too.So can you now tell
me what the hell is Sandra doing in
this house.
EMMY
I taught you were dead.
ELLA
And so?
EMMY
I got,i got married to her.i am
really sorry please forgive me.

(Tears drops)
Even if i was dead, you couldnt
mourn me for at least 2years,you
went on to marry, not just another
woman but my best friend.
ELLA
(Furious)
You are a dog,i hate you,i hate you
so much.
Ella hit Emmy on his chest,Emmy hold her hands as tears
drops from his eyes.
EMMY
What should i have done? How would
i have known that you are still
alive,immediately i heard of the
incident i went there in a rush but
the bodies of the deceased was
disposed already.
ELLA
(crying)
EMMY
Please take it easy,its gonna be
fine.lets think of a solution to
this situation.
ELLA
The only solution to this problem
is for Sandra to live this house
this minute.
Ella walks out of Emmy heading to the sitting room.Emmy
follows her behind.
ELLA
(Shouting)
Ella is reigning abuses on Sandra.
Sandra get the hell out of my
husbands house this minute you
slut.
SANDRA
(tears drops)

Please Ella take it easy we can
resolve this.Im really sorry
please forgive me.
EMMY
No one is leaving this house and no
one should be blamed.

Ella is in shock at Emmys response,she walks out of the


sitting room into the bed room.
INT SITTING ROOM-DAY 6-DAY.
Emmy ,Ella and Sandra are seen living together, they all
sleep in different rooms.Emmy is also seen in a state of
confusion and also seen giving Sandra maximum attention and
hardly notice the things Ella does.Ella feels so
uncomfortable.
ELLA
I missed the good times we spend
together.i missed the times people
call us best couple in town.but
everything seems to have faded when
you thought i was dead.
Emmy is speechless staring at Ella talking.
ELLA CONTD
(tears drops)
I have thought about it and realise
it wasnt your fault.Rather its the
situation you found yourself in.
EMMY
I am really sorry for everything
that happened while you were away.
ELLA
Its alright
Sandra walks into the sitting room
SANDRA
Ella, please forgive me,i know ive
hurt you so much.

its okay,ive forgiven you.
They both hugged each other.
Ella goes into the room packs her belongings and going back
to her parents.
As Emmy and Sandra watched Ella leave,tears run down their
eyes.
FADE OUT.
