Monk Bibliography of Studies

*Note: There are literally thousands of articles about Monk and his music, the
vast majority of which are concert and record reviews. Below is a selection of
books, articles, dissertations and theses, and poetry collections that focus
directly on Monk. Although much of the work below contain various errors
and inaccuracies, we include them because they represent some of the more
substantial writing on Monks life and music.
