The document provides instructions for four drawing sheets to design and plan residential buildings. Sheet 1 involves designing a ground plus first floor RCC structure with various rooms and facilities. Dimensions and assumptions for structural elements are provided. Sheet 2 involves designing a ground plus first floor load-bearing structure with pitched roof and various rooms. Sheet 3 requires drawing roof and foundation plans and sections for the Sheet 1 structure. Sheet 4 requires drawing door and window details. Assignment questions involve explaining principles of residential planning, building bye-laws, and structural terms, and designing a staircase.

ASSIGNMENTS AND DRAWING SHEETS
BUILDING DESIGN AND DRAWING - 1 DRAWING SHEET NO.1: Plan and design the RCC framed structure having ground plus first floor for the plot of size (40 x 35)m. Following details drawn to scale as per standard practice : site plan, ground floor plan, first floor plan, elevation, section along longitudinal direction passing through stair and sanitary details, door and window schedule as per following requirements, 1) It is proposed to Plan, Design and draw a residential bungalow for a contractor as (G+1) RCC framed structure with all the following facilities:Living room = 25 m2. Drawing room = 22 m2. Master bed room (with AT) = 22 m2. Kitchen = 14 m2. Dining room = 16 m2. Bed room = 16 m2. Guest room = 15 m2. Pooja room = 12 m2. Provide Toilet, Passages etc. as per the Building Bye-Laws and Regulations. Assume Floor Floor height as 3.3m. Draw the following according to some suitable scale (1:100):(a) Ground floor plan. (b) First floor plan. (NOTE: (1) In the above problem if they dont mention frame structure we can provide Load bearing structure with foundation. (2) Hence given RCC framed structure provide footing with assumed dimensions. (3) Assume Height of plinth = 0.6m(Provide Earth filling = 0.3m, Rubble soling = 0.15, Bed concrete = 0.1 m, floor finish = 0.05m), thickness of slab RCC = 0.15m, Height of parapet = 0.8m and thickness = 0.15 m, Sill height = 0.9 m, Internal wall thickness = 0.15 m, External wall thickness = 0.23 m, Chajja projection = 0.45 m, Thickness of lime water proofing over RCC slab = 0.1 m, Thickness of lintel = 0.1 m, Door D1=(1000x2100)mm; D2=(800x2100)mm, Window W1=(2000x1200)mm; W2=(1500x1200)mm, Ventilator V = (800x1000)mm.
Plan and design the Load bearing structure having ground plus first floor with pitched roof. Following details drawn to scale as per standard practice : site plan, ground floor plan, first floor plan, elevation, section showing maximum details, door and window schedule as per following requirements, 1) A residential building in a plot of size 20m x 25m the main road abutting 20m wide is on the East side of plot the following accommodation is to be provided:(a) Living room. (b) Bed room (2 nos. (RCC) with attached bath and 1 no. (pitched roof) with attach bath). (c) Kitchen cum dining room. (d) Office for the consultant. Provide adequate passage, verandah, stair and sanitary units. Draw ground floor and first floor plan. (NOTE: Assume Height of plinth = 0.6m(Provide Earth filling = 0.3m, Rubble soling = 0.15, Bed concrete = 0.1 m, floor finish = 0.05m), Depth and width of foundation = 0.9m, Thickness of slab RCC = 0.15m, Height of parapet = 0.8m and thickness = 0.15 m, Sill height = 0.9 m, Internal wall thickness = 0.15 m, External wall thickness = 0.23 m, Chajja projection = 0.45 m, Thickness of lime water proofing over RCC slab = 0.1 m, Thickness of lintel = 0.1 m, Door D1=(1000x2100)mm; D2=(800x2100)mm, Window W1=(2000x1200)mm; W2=(1500x1200)mm, Ventilator V = (800x1000)mm.
DRAWING SHEET NO.3:
