Mrs Walsh, who has worked in Early Years and more recently Preschool, Miss Smyth who
has been working in Year 4 and Miss Hussain from Preschool will be leaving us today. We
wish them all the very best for the future.

Childrens Centre Groups
Family Support Drop-In
There is a new drop in session starting in the Childrens Centre on Thursday 16 th April
which is designed to help and support families with children aged 0 to 5. The session
will be run alongside Lets Play from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. The group will help with managing
behaviour, parenting and routines, home safety equipment, housing issues, debt and benefit
advice, health and nutrition information and much more. No need to book a place, just turn up.
SEN Group
This group will support families and children with additional needs. Sessions will include sensory
play equipment, dark dens, physical play and much more to aid your childs development. This is a
great opportunities for parents to meet, socialise, speak to professionals and share idea. The
group will run every Tuesday from 14th April to 19th May. For more information please contact
Kamina in the Childrens Centre.
Healthy Eating
There is a rising number if children in Bradford who are obese (47%). Please keep your
children healthy by providing them with a well balanced packed lunch and healthy snacks.
Do not include sugary foods or crisps and could children not bring sweets into school. For
information and ideas on healthy foods you can visit www.nhs.uk/change4life and search for
sugar swaps.
Attendance
Our attendance levels are dropping. If your child is absent from school for more than
2 days Mrs Blythe will be making home visits or arranging to meet with you in school
regarding your childs absence. Please support us in bringing your child to school every
day

Uniform
Please could I remind parents that children need to be wearing black shoes, not trainers, for
school. Trainers can be brought into school and kept in lockers to wear for PE lessons.
Digital Showcase Photo Winners
Yesterday we held our 'Fagley Digital Showcase' in our school hall. It was a
fantastic event! Thank you to all the parents who came to look around at all
the brilliant work that the children had done, as well as having a go at some of the
activities on offer.
At the end of the day we finished with a whole school assembly where prizes were
presented to the winners and runners up of the digital photography competition:

will also receive a free Leavers Book.
School Meals
If your child is in Reception , Year 1 or Year 2 they are entitled to a universal free school meal. A
new menu will be coming home with your child today.
