Prior knowledge will be tested by asking questions related to the


previous chapter what type of government was existing before
Pinochet in Chile? Which countries adopted democracy in the initial
period in modern age.

Materials: NCERT Textbook, TEC smart class, marker & board,

DAY I
Introduction: Teacher will introduce the topic by showing photographs of the leader of
non-democratic countries like Fidel Castro, Gaddafi etc.
Strategy used:

Reciprocal & discussion.

Guided Practice: Students will jot down the meaning of democracy in their notebooks .
Checking For
Oral questions will be asked to students.
Understanding:
Closure: Summarization of the topic with key points.
Independent Students will be asked to identify the famous by the quotes given by the

4. Societal: Inequalities in income is reflected in participation of people in democracy .Analyze.
