Goals
By the first week of school (August 25-29), get
to know the definition and benefits of a flipped
classroom and learn about free resources to
start a flipped classroom model.
By October 06, create a video lecture and/or
search for appropriate video lectures on Khan
Academy, TedEd or YouTube.
By January 05, collaborate with other teachers
to start the implementation process of a flipped
classroom. Use components of this model to
create a blended lesson or completely flip a
lesson.
By March 09, share examples of student work,
success stories or concerns regarding this
model of teaching.
Strategies
Send a Prezi about flipped classrooms to all
staff through school email before the school
year starts.

FEEDBACK
Educators will take a survey on the four pillars of FLIP to assess their teaching practice through
the integration of the flipped model. The surveys will be distributed after the first
implementation of the flipped lesson (January 05.) The survey will also serve as an exploration
guide to successfully implement the flipped classroom model.
IMPLEMENTATION PLAN
Criteria
I establish spaces and time frames that
permit students to interact and reflect
on their learning as needed.
I continually observe and monitor
students to make adjustments as
appropriate.
I provide students with different ways
to learn content and demonstrate
mastery.
I give students opportunities to engage
in meaningful activities without the
teacher being central.
I scaffold these activities and make
them accessible to all students through
differentiation and feedback.
I prioritize concepts used in direct
instruction for learners to access on
their own.
I create and/or curate relevant content
(typically videos) for my students.
I differentiate to make content
accessible and relevant to all students.
I make myself available to all students
for individual, small group, and class
feedback in real time as needed.
I conduct ongoing formative
assessments during class time through
observation and by recording data to
inform future instruction.
I collaborate and reflect with other
educators and take responsibility for
transforming my practice.
