Introduce the student to perform a preliminary fuselage design and then improve this
design using the finite element method.

Upon completion of this course the student should be able to:
Calculate the buckling strength of a curved sheet
Calculate the loads and stresses in frames
Analyze the diagonal semi-tension field of curved webs
Perform a preliminary fuselage design and calculate MOS
Improve this design using the finite element method
Design a connection (bolted, riveted and welded)
Understand some important details in airframe design

Perform a fuselage structural design
