2. Dipenhydramine 50mg, HS
ANALYSIS
-Haloperidol is indicated for organic
psychoses, acute psychotic symptoms,
severe anxiety and seizures. It is given
to relieve hallucinations, delusions and
disorganized thinking
-CPZ is also used to treat symptoms of
schizophrenia
-Biperiden is commonly used to improve
parkinsonian signs and symptoms
related to antipsychotic drug therapy
-the primary goal of occupational
therapy is to support and enable each
persons health and participation in life
through engagement in occupation.
- Haloperidol is indicated for organic
psychoses, acute psychotic symptoms,
severe anxiety and seizures. It is given
to relieve hallucinations, delusions and
disorganized thinking
-Dipenhydramine is an antihistamine
used in psychiatric medicine to treat
phenothiazine drug-induced abnormal
muscle movement. It can induce sleep.

-Biperiden is commonly used to improve
parkinsonian signs and symptoms
related to antipsychotic drug therapy
-Since there is an order related for dental
care, we may anticipate that the patient
is having a toothache. Mefenamic acid is
used for mild to moderate pain including
tootache.

-refer to dental service after 1 week
-for home conduction upon approval

-Oresol for volume replacement of BM
-Monitor consistency, frequency, amount
of feces and urine
-Dx: CBC, Na,K Stat.
-IVF: D5NM 1L x 8hrs
prolonged therapy.
Based on the orders, we can anticipate
that the patient is having diarrhea or
Loose Bowel Movement.
-ORS is used replace lost fluid and
electrolytes due to frequent bowel
movement
-Urine monitoring is done to evaluate
how much fluid is lost through urination,
including its concentration to determine
possibility of dehydration or urinary tract
infection
-Fecalysis is ordered to examine or
analyze the feces of the patient to
determine any infection of the GI tract.
-VS monitoring is also used to evaluate
hydration status of the patient

-Including banana in the diet helps in
forming the stool
- ORS is used replace lost fluid and
electrolytes due to frequent bowel

- Urine and feces monitoring is done to
evaluate how much fluid is lost through
urination and defecation, including its
concentration to determine possibility of
dehydration. Consistency of urine may
also determine a urinary tract infection.
-Diagnostic test are ordered to examine
levels of sodium and Potassium as
indicators of dehydration. CBC can also
indicate dehydration.
-IV fluid is ordered to help in the
patients hydration

-Multivitamins is a dietary supplement
used to meet the vitamin and mineral

3. Dipenhydramine 50mg OD HS
prolonged therapy.
-Patients showing aggressive behavior
are restrained.
-Chest/back tapping is done to loosen
secretions
-Aggressive patients have a high vital
signs that should be monitored closely
-Hygiene and hydration needs of the
patients should be provided since he
cannot do it for himself because he is on
restraints
-Patients can be released if the
aggressive behavior has subsided, if not
he should stay with his restraints for the
safety of himself and others.
