1. Open the Internet using any browser such as Firefox, Google Chrome or Internet
Explorer.
2. Go to www.voki.com
3. Read all the contents on the page so that you can become familiar with what each tab is
used for on this site.
4. Be sure to watch the introductory video on the homepage, this will help you to
understand what the program has to offer.
5. Before you get started make sure you read the Terms of Use located at the bottom of the
page.
6. Once you are satisfied with the tutorial sign up for a free Voki account by clicking the
orange register button.
7. Enter your first and last name, email address, confirm email, password, and confirm
password. Check the boxes for I certify that I am of 13 years or older. and I accept the
Terms of Use.
8. Click sign up
9. Go to your email account and click on the confirmation email from Voki.
10.Go to www.voki.com and sign on using your username and password.
11.Create a digital avatar by choosing the face, hair, clothing and accessories for your avatar.
12.Give your avatar a voice by recording and uploading your voice, text to type or phoning
in a message. Choose the male or female voice and accent that you like.
13.Listen to the voice and make changes as needed.
14.Publish your digital avatar by clicking on publish. You can send your avatar through
email, embed it on your blog account, or view from the Voki dashboard.
15.If you want to create lesson plans, go to the top of the page and click on the tab lesson
plan. You will be able to print lesson.
16.After you have followed the above steps you can then create your first Voki.

To get started with Voki, go to www.voki.com.


The website is user friendly and easy to
follow. The home page will give you all the
necessary information to get you started. On
this home page you will get a tutorial on how
to use Voki and create a digital avatar.
Sign up for your free Voki account. On the top right
click on the orange tab. Enter your first and last name,
email address, confirm email, password, and confirm
password. Check the boxes for I certify that I am of 13
years or older. and I accept the Terms of Use.

voice you hear is not of your liking you can add your
own voice or you can use text to speak.

Lets go ahead and change the background color and image.


If you click the background you will see the options for
different colors and images. During this stage you can learn
how to publish your Voki.

How to publish your Voki

Show the button to click to publish your Voki

Once you have finished designing your Voki, click publish.


Give your Voki a title, and click save. If you would like to
share your Voki with a friend, click send Voki here. Your
friend does not have to have an account to access the Voki
sent to them.

With Voki you can publish it to Facebook, Twitter, Google


Plus, and Blogger.
Again, if you wish to share with friends you can then click
share Voki here.

If you find that you just want to blog, it is as simple as


copying and pasting the code that you see here.

If you want to create lesson plans, go to the top of the page


and click on the tab lesson plan. You will be able to print
lesson.

Voki is a fun and creative way to use in your classroom. It is


user friendly and will help in any form of communication.
