TEST RESULTS AND EVALUTATION

Bender Visual Motor Gestalt Test
Meyraces angles suggest organic conditions, mental retardation, inability to complete a
task, hesitancy, self-doubt and anxiety, immaturity and maladjusting conditions with possible
learning and reading disabilities. Decreased angulations (fig. 2 and fig 3) at the first figure drawn
by the examinee means inhibition emotional reactivity. Downward slopping to other figures
suggest depressed mood. Meyrace also encountered difficulty in overlapping and
crossing a simple geometric design (fig. 5 and fig.8) which reflects that he is
currently having some emotional disturbances, mental deficiency, and
possible tendency towards impulsive doubting. Gestalt reproduction reveal
that Meyraces intellectual capacity is at the severe mental/retardation
range.

Draw A Person Test

Draw a Person Test administration request the examinee to complete two individual
drawings on separate pieces of paper. There is no right or wrong type of drawing, although the
examinee must make a drawing of a whole person in separate piece of paper each time.
Meyraces first drawing lacks details meaning possible withdrawal tendencies, empty feeling or
disregard for convention, possible organicity or mental deficiency. The examinee only drew a
face which suggest possible schizophrenia. According to Meyrace, it was a girl. There were no
other available information in her drawing. Unusually large head was also visible in the 1 st
drawing meaning aggressive and expansive tendencies in children. Small circles for eyes in
Meyraces drawing is visible suggesting regressive and extremely childish tendencies. Cupid
bow mouth can also be seen in the drawing that has been associated with exhibitionistically
inclined, sexually precocious adolescent females and asthmatic conditions.
The clients 2nd drawing was stick figures. Although she was instructed to draw a nonstick figure and a boy, she continued to draw stick figures though which suggests evasive
tendencies, minimal cooperation suggesting negativism or hostility toward people, poor
interpersonal relationships with possible psychopathic tendencies, poor body image as seen in
mental retardation, possible agitated depression. Not just one but she had 5 persons (1 boy and 3
grown up ladies and 1 child) at the upper left corner of the paper which means regressive
tendencies, withdrawal and fantasy tendencies and anxiety but in some cases in children, this
area is normally used in early elementary grades. The examiners asked Meyrace information
about her drawing. One of them was Issa, a girl aged 10 yrs. Old. All of them were going outside.

There were no other information about her drawing. Meyrace have unusually heavy pressure in
her drawings that reflects aggressive and possibly actiong-out tendencies. She may also have
anxiety and constricting behaviour particularly under stress. The stick figures appears to be
unusually small which means anxiety or withdrawal tendencies in inhibited, restrained, timid shy
and constricted children.
GENERAL SUMMARY
Gestalt reproduction revealed that Meyraces intellectual capacity is at
the severe mental retardation. Her mental age was 5 years old. Clients in this
age bracket (6-20 yrs) can talk or learn to communicate; can be trained in
elemental health habits; profits from systematic habit training but unable to
profit from vocation training.
Projective data byproduct of childish individuals who is in her social
introductions. Her hostility towards the people around her results to
interpersonal conflicts.
