Description: Kaiser Permanente is an integrated managed care consortium, based in Oakland, California,
United States. It is made up of three distinct groups of entities: the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and
its regional operating subsidiaries, Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, and the autonomous regional Permanente
Medical Groups. The project was to handle to data i.e. flat files coming from different hospitals and transform
it as per the requirements of the three layers that were Acquisition Layer, Conform Layer and Base layer. After
Base layer, data mart was to be created as per department specification and eventually, used this data to
create reports by the management in the decision making process.
