FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM

Design Basics.
The Basics Of Design will be on the clients (TNB) specified required for the fire
protection of the Hydroelectric Project, Hulu Terengganu. In addition the
system design will be in accordance and compliance to Jabatan Bomba
Malaysia requirent and standards as follows :a)

1) Generator 1 and Systems.
a. Kiddle Argonite Fire Extinguishing System with Kiddle Senator
Aspirating Smoke Detection System.
b. System Control Panel, Schedule 40 pipeline and nozzles.
c. Fire Alarm System, Manual Breakglass and Alarm Horn.
d. Portables Fire Extinguishers 9kg ABC.
2) Generator 2 and Turbine.
a. Kiddle Argonite Fire Extinguishing System with Kiddle Senator
Aspirating Smoke Detection System.
b. System Control Panel, Schedule 40 pipeline and nozzles.
c. Fire Alarm System, Manual Breakglass and Alarm horn.

3) Storage Room

Valve, fittings and Nozzles are High Velocity Nozzles. System Fire
Detection and actuation are by :

Manual Actuation by Manual Pull near to Transformer Room.
Remote Actuation from Control via solenoid valve at Wet
Pipe line.
Water Supply will be tapped from alloatted water source.

2 Units 1 inch x 100 feet Hose Reel, Position to be decided.

12) Fire Alarm (Sub-Panel) 1 unit 24 zones to be confirmed Sub. Alarm


Panel to be interfaced to existing Main Fire Alarm Panel.
a. Monitoring all Argonite System, Deluge Water Spray System.
b. Zones for Manual Breakglasses, Smoke Detectors and Alarm for
Horn and Siren.
c. Trip or start for air cond Systems and others.
d. Remote actuation of Water Spray Systems.
