PERSONAL STATEMENT

Im currently a 1st year undergraduate Computer Science student at Kings College

London with a profound interest in Software Development. My primary programming
language is Java and I am also proficient in C#.NET, VB.NET, PHP and JavaScript.
Furthermore, I am comfortable using tools, such as GitHub to handle version control
and collaboration during development.
Before commencing my degree, I was able to refine and develop vital skills that are
required of me in Industry, in a customer service setting at the Dukes Head Hotel and
in an industry style setting when developing the projects listed in my portfolio.
I pride myself in the fact that I work very well in a team setting, both in and out of a
leadership role and being able to work towards deadlines efficiently, which I believe
would make me an invaluable member of any workforce.
I am available for part time or summer work.

RELEVANT SKILLS
Communication
My time at the Dukes Head Hotel aided in significantly developing my
communication skills as it was required of me to interact with customers on a
daily basis and do so confidently.
Furthermore, for each of the projects in my portfolio, communicating with the
client was a large part of the process to ensure they received the product that
they asked for.
Leadership and Teamwork
Studying at college and working with customers on a weekly basis has also
aided the development of my team work skills, and allowed me to step up into
the leadership role as the class representative, being voted in two years in a
row.

I am currently a member of a 3 person team tasked with developing an

application responsible for handling student data. I plan to further develop this
vital skill alongside my two other team members.
Efficiency
When developing software, it is important to be able to structure your time well
and work to the deadline, without the need to rush.
It comes naturally to me to break up a problem and organise my work flow in
such a way that allows for this.
Polish Language
I currently take evening classes in Polish language which has led to me
becoming working proficient in both speaking and writing.
