This industrial attachment program will be focusing on

the development of components for 3M`s advance
lighting systems comprised of light engine, multiplelayer optical films and mechanical structures for light
ducting. In this project, the student will be tasked to
design and implement the mechanical structures in the
system and integrate these structures together for a
complete advanced lighting system. Optical and
electrical performance will be measured after the
integration to benchmark the performance of the
corresponding mechanical structures in such systems.
Design adjustment and optimization will be proposed
and validated at the end of the program. The student will
be working under supervision of experience staff R&D
engineer with Electronics & Energy Group Lab in 3M
Singapore R&D Center. This nature of the work in this
program is research and development.
