PLate Impact Based On Johnson Cook Parameters

1) The document describes a finite element analysis simulation using ABAQUS to analyze the impact loading of an aluminum projectile on aluminum plates using the Johnson-Cook plasticity-damage model. 2) The simulation models the geometry of the plate and projectile, applies material properties and Johnson-Cook plasticity and damage models, generates a mesh, creates boundary conditions to apply an initial velocity to the projectile, and runs the simulation to determine the resulting stress and damage over time. 3) The author modifies parameters like the displacement at failure and projectile velocity to study their effects on the von Mises stress distribution, plate and hole morphology, projectile trajectory, and velocity over time.

Notes
By modifying the velocity from 100, 000 mm/s
to 1,000 000 mm/s consider the time that you
need to input on step-time period.
