universities or institutions with at least a CGPA of 2.75 and with at least three (3) years working
experience.
2. OR - Passed professional examination IEM/BEM Par t II, Council of Engineering
Institutions (CEI) Par t 2 and with at least three (3) years working experience.
Fees:
RM 15,773.00 for two (2) years courses included Breakfast, Lunch and Tea time. (Classes are
conducted ever y weekend)

The courses all students have to complete are as follows:
>> MEM 701: Transformation Management [ 3 Credit ]
The course outlines the world of change in the economy and business with focus on the local,
regional and global businesses. An organized but eclectic and phased approach is adopted in
dealing with the issues and methodologies of change. The approach to managing change
travels from the individual to the groups and to the organization. Change management requires
changes in individual mindsets and mind sights (self change), ability to energize changes in
teams (group change) and leading change (organizational change).The course also involves
and engages the student in the application of the change management by examining their
organizations and reflecting the challenges together through presentations and discussions.
>> MEM 771 : Strategic Management & Globalization [ 3 Credit ]
The course outlines the challenge of strategic management in a world that is increasing
interdependent and interlocked than ever before. Managing organizations requires a strategic
and global outlook to remain competitive and to plan ahead of changes and competitive threats.
The course will take the students to the global challenges and the approaches and tools at their
disposal to understand and evaluate these forces for sustainable business success.
Methodologies to frame the contours of the global forces will be identified and their impact on
the national and global businesses illustrated. This course will enable technical managers to go
beyond their technical world and to appreciate the business world on a global plane.
>> MEM790 : Research Methodology and Consultancy [ 3 Credit ]
This course provides statistical decision-making tools for engineering and technical managers
who are often confronted with problems and issues involving uncertainty. Students learn to read
and interpret statistical literature and to apply basic statistical methods in evaluating data.
Emphasis is placed on the collection, rigorous analysis, interpretation and effective
communication of data. Methods of action research will be dealt with leading toward ability to do
consulting jobs related to engineering management.
>> MEM 702 : Project Marketing and Consumer Management [ 3 Credit ]
Project sales and marketing is a developing knowledge area in many industries that increase

their project orientation in customer deliveries. The project sales and marketing discipline is
essential for success within business where knowledge intensive, tailored customer-specific
technical or other systems/services are sold and produced. The course content is divided to five
focus areas that are covered by the lectures and the course book. The focus areas are: Nature
of project marketing, Marketing Strategy, Managing Project Networks, Preparing Project Of
fering and Project Sales Process.
>> MEM 772: Accounting, Finance & Engineering Economics [ 3 Credit ]
This course covers the four major areas: financial accounting, cost accounting, managerial
accounting and capital budgeting. The course introduces students to accounting entities, users
of accounting information, elements of financial statements and their interpretation, costing,
marginal costing, budgetary control, working capital management, investment analysis, sources
of finance, profit planning & control and the Just-in-time philosophy.
>> MEM 705: Strategy and Management of Technology [ 3 Credit ]
The course emphasise the application of concept of innovation theory to the real-life problems.
The message of linkages between new ideas and profit will be discussed through different
innovation processes that include proper technology strategy, right organizational structure,
product-market positioning and management of new knowledge.
>> MEM 775: Managing the Value Adding Chain and Operation [ 3 Credit ]
This course presents an integrated approach to value chain management. It analyzes the key
challenges, practices and trends concerning the primary business functions (i.e., marketing,
production and purchasing) and processes (i.e., cycle time compression, quality management,
supply chain integration, global network configuration and coordination, and virtualization). It
also examines the strategic ramifications of an emerging digital economy on these functions
and processes.
>> MEM 791: Technopreneurship [ 3 Credit ]
The nature and importance of entrepreneurship in developing and transferring technology and
positively impacting an economy is an area of importance to business leaders, educators,
politicians, and individual members of the society. To create something new and of value to
both the organization and the market takes a technical individual who is willing to assume the
social, psychic, and financial risks involved and achieve the resulting rewards whether these be
monetary, personal satisfaction, or independence. Technical Entrepreneurship is designed to
focus on the opportunities and challenges associated with starting a new venture based on
technology. The single greatest wealth creator of our generation and of ever y generation before
us has been technology. The goal of this class is to evolve an idea into a complete business.
The course will illustrate all phases in the development of a business. Students will be provided
with a toolkit to more effectively create, assess, and build ideas into businesses.This class
cannot make student into an entrepreneur or intrapreneur. It can help students better assess
whether an idea is a business opportunity and how to transform that opportunity into a business.
MEM770 : Management of Risk, Contract and Legal Issues [ 3 Credit ]
This course focuses on risks, contracts and legal issues related to engineering management.
This course provides an understanding of basic principles of contract law. In addition, this

This course describes a broad appreciation of the techno-economic realities of the changing
world of computers, media and communication technologies. It discusses the identification of
key players, key standards and key technologies. This course covers telecommunication
networks from the perspective of the network service provider.

MEM762 Computer Integrated Manufacturing [ 3 Credit ]
The program is designed to achieve competence in the ef fective integration of the computing,
manufacturing, design, and maintenance processes found in any manufacturing enterprise.
MEM735: Optimization of Engineering System [ 3 Credit ]
This subject deals with design and system optimization. For each topic, design and system
modeling, as well as mode solution are stressed. The optimization methodologies are based on
Mathematical Programming, Linear Programming, and Dynamic Programming.
MEM734: Management of Engineering Design [ 3 Credit ]
This subject provides a broad realistic understanding of the design process. Topics to be
covered include: The Product Design Process, Need Identification and Problem Definition,
Gathering Information, Concept Generation and Evaluation, Embodiment Design and Ethical
Issues in Design

MEM795: Information Technology Service Management [ 3 Credit ]
The syllabus is based on the ITIL which comprise is a cohesive set of best practices for IT
service management. It comprises a series of ITIL Books and is intended to assist organizations
in developing a quality framework. Professionally it is supported by a series of examinations and
international certifications, which are organized into three distinct levels: the ITIL Foundation
Certificate, the ITIL Practitioners Certificate and the ITIL Managers Certificate. The syllabus is
drawn in such a way that allows students to have basic knowledge to sit for the above
certifications.
MEM752: Facilities Management Building & Infrastructure [ 3 Credit ]
