Download and apply SH12528 get the AFDWEBSRC command.

NOTE: The Cover Letter for the download PTF SH12528, explains the process for
moving MAPICS Source found on the MAPICS Support WEBSITE
This tool consists of one command: AFDWEBSRC - This Copies and extracts
files (SAVF's) and source from an AS/400 Shared Folder to an AS/400 library.
This tool is designed specifically for MAPICS save files.

******************************* NOTE: *** IF USING CLIENT ACCESS *************************


1. On the PC, download the source file via the Internet to your desktop
2. On the PC, Copy the file to your AS/400 Shared Folder AFDWEB (normally access via "My
Computer" )
3. On the AS/400, sign on with at least QSECOFR authority (recommended)
4. Enter the following command:
ADDLIBLE AFDWWWOBJ
5. Enter the following AFDWEBSRC command followed by the program name and release level of
the source saved to the desktop. Example:
AFDWEBSRC AM64B.655
AFDWEBGET

SH61622.660

NOTE: The source will be placed in the MAPSRC source file in the
MAPSRCSF SAVF in QGPL.
6. Enter the following command to restore the source file to your source library:
NOTE: Before doing this command, please rename the MAPSRC source file
if it already exists in your source library.
RSTOBJ OBJ(*ALL) SAVLIB(QTEMP) DEV(*SAVF) SAVF(QGPL/MAPSRCSF) +
MBROPT(*ALL) RSTLIB(aaaaaaaaaa)
aaaaaaaaaa = the name of your source library.
7. Now you will be able to access this source member in the MAPSRC source file
in your source library.
NOTE: Download and review SH12528 and SH01198 for more information on source. For more
information concerning the library AFDWWWOBJ, review the cover letter for SH11705.

******************************* NOTE: *** IF USING CLIENT ACCESS EXPRESS *************


A. Create your own userid and password for the MAPICS Support website.
B. Download the PTF / Source directly to your desktop
C. Make sure you have a complete install of Client Access Express on your PC
**If you encounter any issues here, please contact IBM
1. Double click on AS/400 Operations Navigator
2. Click on the '+' in front of your AS/400

Click on the '+' in front of File Systems


Click on the '+' in front of Integrated File System
Click on the '+' in front of the QDLS folders
Drag and Drop from Desktop into the AFDWEB folder

E. On the AS/400, sign on with at least QSECOFR authority (recommended)


F. Enter the following command:
ADDLIBLE AFDWWWOBJ
G. Enter the following AFDWEBSRC command followed by the program name and release level of the
source saved to the desktop. Example:
AFDWEBSRC AM64B.655
NOTE: The source will be placed in the MAPSRC source file in the
MAPSRCSF SAVF in QGPL.
H. Enter the following command to restore the source file to your source library:

I. Now you will be able to access this source member in the MAPSRC source file
in your source library.
