Logos
Description: Three logos for the 411 creative blog
Process: When i made this i started by looking through Pinterest
and online sites for logos and to get an idea of what i wanted to
do for thing blog. After doing some research i began sketching
out ideas of what i wanted to create. I took four or five of my
favorite designs and began to create on illustrator. After i got
the hang of the program i found out what i could do to expand
upon three of the logos that i liked. With each one i wanted to
do something different. i kept adding and taking away certain
elements to get the logo the way that i wanted. The blog is
about making vintage crafts that have a rustic touch to them so
i tried to incorporate vintage colors as well as more earth toned
hues to complete the look. As far as typography, i wanted to
make the text look more feminine and on the last one i wanted to
use a script font to play on the creative idea.
Message: 411 Creative is all about the vintage look with a rustic
touch.
Audience: 18-25 year old women
Top Thing Learned: How to use handlebars to contort shapes to

sketches of my design that i had in mind. I then looked at
several books and magazines to find a picture that i wanted
to incorporate into my event ad. I scanned a picture and

Flier
Description: Graduate leadership conference flier in black
and white.
Process: I began by creating several sketches of the layout
that i wanted for the flier. I then took the ideas from the
sketches and created a draft on Adobe InDesign. I wanted
to create hierarchy with the information that was given to me
by making the most important pieces the focal point, such as
the picture and then i added the text towards the bottom. I
used black text boxes and black lines to create divisions in the
paper to emphasize each element of text. I left white space
and made sure the final product was uncluttered and easy to
read.
