Let's see. That is an interesting question. If I describe a impressed city I have

visited, I believe I would talk about Da Lat City. I'd like to explain why. First of all,
this famous city is very different from where I have always lived. Personally, I love
the atmosphere in here. It was not too hot or not too cold which made me feel
absolutely comfortable as I was mixing with the nature. In addition, there were a
lot of famous sceneries: Xuan Huong Lake, Cam Ly Fall or Flower Market which I
knew very little about. Finally, the most impressed thing I totally loved Da Lat City
was the people in here. They were very kind and friendly, which made most of
visiters came here felt that Da Lat is like their hometown. With their enthusiasm
and their honesty, they got ready for supporting or suggesting what you were
wondering, maybe about the roads or places which u were confusing. To
summarize, Da Lat City was a well-known place with various wonderful landscape
and striking characteristics that was very impressed me when I traveled to here. I
would like to say that "I love Da Lat City very much".

Topic 2. Describe an environmental problem in your country

Id like to tell you about one of the most serious problems which has a huge impact
on my citys environment is the increasing amounts of litter on streets.
Litter is most commonly from fast food restaurants such as McDonalds, KFCs
restaurants, followed by Subway and a number of coffer brands. Fast food makes
up a quarter of all rubbish found on the streets.
I think there are some solutions that help to cope with this issue. Firstly, for the fast
food companies, they have to play a more active role in delivering an anti- litter
message at the point of sale. For example, they can reduce the unnecessary
packaging, make eating inside their restaurant a more attractive option to
encourage customers to eat in rather than taking packaging out on to the streets, or
encourage customers to use a bin, and offer money off to people who returned
packaging and provide more bins. Secondly, the government should also set up

some campaigns to cope on reducing litter, which includes raising ppls awareness
of the negative effect that litter influences on the citys perception as well as the
environment, as the result it can encourage people to dispose of waste correctly.

Topic 3: Describe something you bought that you were happy

I'm going to describe my mobile phone. I bought it online / in a mobile phone shop
I use the phone to keep in touch with friends and family, for communication by
voice, text and email. It has various features like video, MP3 player, wireless
Internet, digital camera and games. It's easy to share photos and music. I use it for
almost everything, it even has a calendar that reminds me about appointments.
My phone is an essential part of my life. It holds my contacts, my photos, my
music collection. I've got instant access to my favourite websites. It's like having
my whole life in my pocket. I couldn't live without it.

Topic 4: Describe a travel experience you had

I had a very close friend in my school level who is currently working as a doctor at
Nha Trang and I would like to travel to his living place. I have a plan to visit Nha
Trang whenever I will get holidays for 4-5 days. The friend has invited me to visit
his place and in the mean time he has visited my place twice. So my turn to visit
his place has become mandatory. As he is living in a rural area where hills, tea
gardens are available, I am sure I will enjoy my visit there.

There are three options to visit the place: bus, train and airplane. For me the
airplane would be bit expensive and I like traveling by train, so I will take the train
to visit there.
I have few reasons to visit this particular place. First of all, this area is famous for
its natural beauty and a good number of local and foreign tourists visit this place
each year. I would be able to enjoy my stay and live close to nature during my stay
there and that would be a goof refreshment for me. Second, I would enjoy my

friend's accompany there and as he has already visited my place twice, I feel kind
of obliged to visit his living place. Another reason I would like to travel there is to
stay away from the busy life and busy city for dew days.
Topic 5: The role of woman in family.
The woman plays an important role in my family. My mother not only care my
family but she also works as a teacher
she is very busy. After work, she goes home and goes market to buy food for
family. she often cooks, washes the dishes, washes clothes. She hasnt much free
time but she feels happy because she thinks it is her responsibility. she always
keeps family happy. The role of women in my family cant be replaced

Topic 6: describe an activity that make you happy

my friend's birthday party, last Saturday evening, we went for a meal in an Italian
restaurant.there were about 10 of us, he invited some close friends and work
colleagues, most of them were people I've known since university. we met at the
restaurant, I gave my friend a present and a birthday card, we ordered some food,
while we ate dinnereveryone chatted, after the main course the waiter brought
out a cake and we sang 'Happy Birthday', everyone went home quite late.it was
great to get together with old friends, I had some interesting conversations, it was
a good opportunity to catch up with what my friends had been up to, it was a nice
way to wind down after a hard week at work, the food was delicious, I went
homefeeling full after a fantastic meal.
Topic 7: Describe a teacher who has influenced you.
Of all my teachers who taught me from my primary school to university, I admire
Mr Nguyen Viet Ky best. I was lucky to be his student when I attended a part time
university in Hai Duong center of continuing education. He comes from English
faculty of Ha Noi university of languages and international studies. He is not only
a well-qualified teacher who is especially good at teaching English but also has
good influence on most of his students who he has ever taught. I think that he is

also a good example of the people who can overcome hard difficulties in life and
be very successful. In a word, I do admire him very much.

Topic 8: Describe a place that has a special meaning to you

A place that has special meaning to me is my grandma's house, because all my chil
dhood were happened there. My grandfather built his home on his blueprint. The b
uilding had 2 stories, and each of the stories had balconies which were all different.
In order to got more sunshine the first store's balconies had a big french window.Th
e purpose of second store were to grown some flowers, so the balconies had a open
area.The aroma of plants and flowers filled every room in the house. There was a b
ig yard in front of my grandma's house, and at the south of yard had two big apple t
rees planted by my grandfther. This yard was very useful, it could be a parking lot
when all my grandma's children went home. It also was a playgrand for me and my
brothers when it was empty. I also learned how to ride a bicycle there. No one taug
ht me, I fell down numerous times in the big yard. Finally, I caught the feeling of ri
ding a bicycle. My grandma's house was a special place where I spent many years,
which helped me become the person I am.
Topic 9: Describe a film that made strong impression
I have enjoyed lots of kinds of films, but the film with its name " The wave in the
bottom river " written and composed by Le Luu ,made a great impression on me. I
first watched this film about 10 years ago on HaNoi television. This film is about
the life of Nui - the main character of the film. He had a very difficult life after his
mother died and then his father got married again. He was unlucky to have a father
who has no responsibility, no feelings and a cold heart for his own children. This
film ended with a happy ending when Nui has a small happy family. I think this
film not only has a good plot, but also made a unforgetable impression on viewers
thanks to some excellent performances of Xuan Bac who played a role as Nui.
Topic 10: Describe a show or a performance you enjoy watching
Three years ago I watched the play 'Romeo & Juliet' by William Shakespeare at the
city theatre that I consider a worth watching theatrical performance. The play

lasted for about 1 and half hour and I as well as the 200 audiences of the play
thoroughly enjoyed and acclaimed the play.

The city theatre is famous for quality performance by the top class performers. The
time when we heard that a team is coming from London to perform Romeo and
Juliet, we planned to watch it. We knew very little about the actors and actresses
but heard that they are quite popular in theatrical world in London. After the play
began I noticed a pin drop silence on the theatre except the performers' voices and
background music. The costumes of the performers were just the way it should be.
Their dresses, stage, music, their make-up, their accent, the passionate acting
created an illusion of real Romeo-Juliet era. The play went on and the story
continued as
-"Two young people fall in love the moment they met but their families are bitter
enemies. The relationship between Romeo & Juliet fueled the angers and bitterness
of the two families. The two innocent lovers get caught in the middle of a trap. The
tragic end of their lives and the eternal victory of love described in Shakespeare's
gorgeous language makes it a worth watching theatrical performance."
The professional and astounding acting, captivating dialogues, intense romantic
tale, wrenching separation and the tragic twist of tale make the play unforgettable
and timeless. The production and acting were superb and highly acclaimed. I still
remember a news article later on that acclaimed the actors, actresses of the London
team and the superb professionalism and artistic production of a great play.
