and standalone operation system, combining all kinds of latest

1. Open remote controls battery lid;

2. Pack into 2pcs AA batteries,make sure "+" and"-" ;
3. Close the battery lid.

2.3.2 Remote control corresponding number operation

PressDEVkey, then input the DVR device number
(acquiescent device number is 255,into management tool->modify
in systems paramet,the device number MAX 255. Input three-digit
device number, add 0 in front if there is no three-digit, pressENTER
key.According remote control function key to operate standalone
DVR after finished corresponding number.

2.3.3 Remote turn on

The state of divice is pitched on by remote control,keep pressing
POWERkey and close device into standby state.

The state of divice is

Setup the video system on the video system switch of the

3 Operation System introduction

3.1 Start/Stop DVR
Please confirm that the alternating current is matched with the
DVRs requirements. And make sure that the underground line is
connected.When the power is connectedthe DVR will turn the
POWERLED to green color,after entering the system,the RUN
LED flashing on the panel is the normal condition.Long-press the

3.2 Preview
When the device is startup normally, it will go to the previewing
picture.
On the page of previewing, you can see the data,time and

channel name.
Press the channel button or click the mouse can change the
channel directly and preview the single-channel screen.Then press
the QUAD key or left-click the mouse to return to 4 channels
previewing.

3.3 Menu introduction

3.3.1 Enter into menu
PressMENUkey to enter into the main menu interface.Press
PLAYkey to enter into the playback interface.
PressRECkey to enter into the manual operation
interface.PressPTZkey to enter into the PTZ control interface.

3.3.2 Menu component

The menu component unit mainly has the following kinds:
1Reelection Frame: Provide 2 choices, indicates valid
and indicates invalid, useENTERor, to switch.
For example:Channel choose and Record type
reelection frame on the files search interface.
2Selection Frame: Choose the targeted content from the
bottom list of the system. Use, or left-click to
choose the item.

For example, there is storage equipment selection frame
on the files search interface.

3List Frame: The search result will display in the list

frame.Use, which provides in the chosen list to
choose one item.
For example,pressENTERor left-click to play the video
recording document.Right-click to select or cancel the
video recording document in order to backup the
document.
4Edit frame: Inputting targeted item by the editing frame.
For example: Input digits,English words,Chinese,etc on the
equipment name eidit frame
a) Change input type by FNor left-click the

,including digits,English words, punctuation marks

and Chinese input way.

b) After confirming the cursor position on the edit frame by
the panel keyboard or pressENTER or
left-clickthe keyboard will appear,then choose the
targeted characters by the direction keys or left-click.
c) Press SHIFT or left-click to delete the characters
which are in the front of the cursor position.
d) Press MENU orESC key to exit edit status.

5Button: For the implementation of a specific function or set

into the second-level menu,press ENTERor left-click to
enter.

3.3.3 Exit menu

3.4 Main menu introduction

Press MENU key or the right mouse button to pop-up the main menu,
main menu consists of the following three components:

Preview mode In the menu column,you can select the

corresponding screen preview mode.
Shortcut menuIn the menu column, respectively have: video
playback, manual recording, shortcut menu of PTZ control, you
can directly emter the corresponding menu pages.
Main menuClick to enter in to it,there are management tools,
system setup,LOG search and system closing interface
and so on.

3.5 Video playback

Click the video playback on the main menu to enter into the files
search interface.

3.5.1 Files search

Select channel: Select the target channel you want to search,
click the check box to choose.
Video typeSelect the video type which needs to search.
""means to be checked; "" means not to be selected.
Time slice setupinput the start time and end time of the
requiredvideoon the edit frame.
Storage equipmentin the selection box select the target backup
storage device.
Files searching button: after finishing to setup the above
searching conditions,click the button,the system will start
to search the related video files and enter into the
searching result interface.
Noteif there are more than 4000 video files can
meet the searching conditions,the system will
only show the latest 4000 files.If you want to
find the updated files,please revise the
searching conditions.
Time playbackplayback the video files according to the setup
start and end timeDon't differentiate video type.
Playback tools control,please refer to 3.5.3.
Time backupBackup the video files to the pointed storage
equipment according to the setup start and end time.

3.5.2 Searching result

After setup all the searching conditions,click the files
searchingbutton to enter into the searching result interface.
Playback video fileslocate the targeted file on the list frame by
up/down key or moving the mouse.Click the ENTER
or left-click to play the file.
Page turningthe searching files will show by page,click Page
Up Page Down keys or input the targeted page,then
press the skip button to turn the pages,you can also turn
the pages by the middle button of the mouse.
Backuplocate the targeted file on the list frame by up/down key
or moving the mousethen select theFN or right click
the fileand select the targeted storage equipment on
the storage equipment frame,then press the backup
button,the selected video file will be backed-up in the
targeted storage equipment.
Cancel buttonreturn to the last level menu.

3.5.3 Playback tool control

Choose files playback or time playback,will enter into the video

playback interface.
Playback Toolbarplayback toolbar will appear at the bottom of
the playback interface,right-click to hide or show the
toolbar.When multi screen playback at one time,after
hiding the toolbar,then left-click to zoom or narrow the
video on the related channel.

3.6 Manual record

Click the manual record on the main menu to enter into the setup
interface.
Press REC or click manual record on the main menu to enter
into the setup interface.
Manual record interface introduction
Manual record operation interface is made of the following parts:
Channel number:its corresponding with the video channel
Channel Statusindicates the record status on the
corresponding channel,when the satus led is green ,
it says unopen state of the video, the satus led is red
" ",it says open state of the video;When there is a coil
around the status led

channel open the network video transmission.When the
system is on recording statusRegardless of video
type will appear at the left corner of the channel
preview screen,it says its recording now.

All open/All stop buttonclick the button to stop or open the

video setup of all channels.
Return buttonclick return button to return to the manual
recordinginterface and return to the main menu.
NoteManual starting video, only through the manual to stop,
or video will continue all the time.

3.7 PTZ Control

Click PTZ control on the main menu to enter into the setp
interface.
The main operation of the PTZ control are as following:direction
control, horizontal scan,Zoom control,adjust the focal length, adjust
aperture, PTZ speed.
After switching the page,the preset points can be
invoked;Start/stop automatically cruise; Sheffield control; Lighting
control;Auxiliary equipment control.
Note:the invoked preset points must be setted-up well,

cruising paith setup method please refer to 3.8.2.8 PTZ setup.

One of the cruise path number is less than 2 digits, need to add
0 in the front of the corresponding cruise path number up to 2
digits.

3.8 Menu
Click Menu to enter into the main menu interface,the first level
menu

is

search,close the system.

3.8.1 Management tools

Including HDD management,users mansgement, Restore default,
Clear alarm, Software undate,Time setup,Version information.

3.8.1.1 HDD management

SATAindicates the current system HDD information,
indicates HDD tested successfullyX indicates without
HDD information.
HDD format Choose the targeted disk drives on the HDD
selection frame,

can view the corresponding information,

click "format" button to appear confirmation page, click on

the "ok" button to begin, HDD starts formatting, after HDD
formatting completed, HDD can be used normally.
NoteYou need stop all the record before you format the disk.

3.8.1.2 Users management

Create users add, remove users and modify user
information. (except the Admin,any other users are not entitled
to setup the privileges of other users)
Creat new user
Enter into users management operation interfaceclickadd
button to enter into users add interface

Input new user name on the users name edit framesuch
as:user.
Notethe inputing method please refer to 3.3.24.

Choose setup password button on the users add
interface input the new password on the password setup
interfacthe password is within 6 digits.
3Setup the permissions of the new users
Setup the operation permissions of the new users on the
"users add" interface, select from the corresponding reelection
frame, indicates users can use the permissions, indicates
the user cannot use the permissions.
4Save the setup information of the new users

Click Enter button, the setup information of the new users

Will be saved,if you click cancel,it wont be saved.
Revise users
Enter into the users management interfaceright-click or
pressENTER on the panel in the users list,and click revise button
and enter into the Revise users interface to revice the users
information.
NoteAdmin can revise the otherspermissions.
Cancel the users
Enter into the users management interface right-click or
pressENTER on the panel in the users list to choose the targeted
user,then click cancel to cancel the user.

3.8.1.3 Restore default

Set the system configuration parameters as the default, after
restore recovery, the system will restart automatically.

3.8.1.4 Software update

Choose Software update on the management tools interface to
enter into the operation interface.
Choose the targeted update on the update selection frame,then
choose the update modes on the update ways frame: FTP and USB.
USB updateCopy the required update files to the USB

catalogue, insert USB, and then click Enter to update
the system.

FTP updatePut the required update files to the FTP root

catalogue,setup the IP address as the pointed
one,then press Enter to update the system.
After finishing update,the system will restart automatically.
Notethe main board update name should be
mainboard.bin When the system is updating,do not cut
of the power supply, to invoid causing equipment
malfunction.

3.8.1.5 Time setup

Enter the system time page, input the correct date and time in
the Date, Time frame,then press ESC to save or press ESC
to cancel.

3.8.1.6 Version information

Check equipment names, types, the version number and the
relevant information.

3.8.2 System setup

Choose the System setup to enter into the sub-menu on the
main menu interface.

3.8.2.1 System configuration

Choose "system configuration" into setup interface on the system
setup interface.
Equipment numberWhen using remote to control the
equipment operation, it is through the device to control
and communication, remote control must be
coressponding with and the equipment number to
realize the remote operation. The setup of the Remote
control ,Please refer to 2.3 remote introduction.
Equipment nameEquipment name is normally

definited as

the monitoring area name, when remote access,can

intuitivey find the visit point.The default equipment
name isNetDVRThe editing method,please refer to
3.3.24.
Equipment is fullChoose "cover", when all the hard disk
recording inside the equipment is full, the system will
cover the earliest video information to achieve the
purpose to record in cycle.
Lock time by keypadWhen there is no operation within the
locked time by keypad, the system will cancel the
current unser automatically, need to login the system
again to operate.
Switch timeSwitching time means the cycle time cycles what

the single-channel preview shows.

Video systemThe equipment spport PAL and NTSC video

output.The default is NTSC.Setup method please refer
to 2.4
VGA resolutionusers can adjust the VGA redolution according
to the VGA monitor.
Menu transparency when the user access to the menu
interface, by adjusting the transparency of the menu,
can realize the transparency between preview screen
and the menu.
LanguageAccording to the user's demand, can setup menu
language types, can choose the simplified Chinese and
English.
StatusSetup if the the preview screen shows the record ways,
status and the motion detection icons, when the mark
change to means showing status; when the mark
change to means non showing status;

the system is recording(regardless of video type).

area button, enter into cover area setup interface.
Setup cover areaIn the cover areas setup interface, the area

center displays a yellow box, that is the area setup box.

Area create: Move the yellow box to the start position of the
setup area through the panel direction key,press the
FNbutton (switch the yellow box and red box) to
change it to the red box (red box is the effective cover
area); Then adjust the size by the direction key, the
minimum size of the area can be set to one small box,
the max size can set to 4 covered area. Left-click

or

long pressing the mouse to select the area, after

finishing the setup ,press "ENTER" or click the middle
mouse button to exit and save, press "ESC" key means
not to save and exit.
Local clear: Move the yellow box to the required clearing area
(top left), press FNbutton, its changed into black box
(eliminate area box), local is cleared. After finishing the
clearing , pressENTERto save and exit.If press
ESC,the clearing setup will be invalid.Left-click or
long pressing the left mouse key to clear the area in the
red box, click the middle mouse key to exit and save.
All clear: pressMENUto clear all the covred area in the
channel.

Copy to:At the right selection frame of the copy to button,
choose the targeted channel,click the Copy to
button,system will apply the current channel setup
information to other targeted video channel.
Note:the channel name can not be copied.
After this page setup is completed, click "Enter" button, save the
setup information and exit, Click "Cancel" button, the setup
information will not be saved and then exit.

3.8.2.3 Record protection

Choose the record protection to enter into the setup interface.
Choose channelchoose the targeted channel,click the
selection frame to choose.
Weekchoose which day need to setupcan setup separatedly
Allsays all the dates.
Recording type and time sliceIn the four periods, each period
can set different types, fixed time record (red), motion
record (green), alarm record(yellow). ""says enabled,
""

says invalid. The time status will display in the

below, the whole plan of 0 to 24 hours.

Copy toAt the right selection frame of the copy to button,choose
the targeted channel,click the Copy to button,system
will apply the current channel setup information to other
targeted video channel.
After this page setup is completed, click "Enter" button, save the
setup information and exit, Click "Cancel"button, the setup
information will not be saved and then exit.

3.8.2.4 PTZ setup

Choose the PTZ detection to enter into the setup interface.
Choose channelchoose the targeted channel,click the
selection frame to choose.
Speed: choose the rate which is matching connected PTZ.
Data bits: choose the data bits which is matching connected
PTZ.
Stop bits: choose the stop bits which is matching connected
PTZ.
Calibration: choose the calibration which is matching connected
PTZ.
Flow control: the chosen item should be the same with the
matching PTZ flow control setup.
Protocol type: the chosen item should be the same with the
matching PTZ protocol setup.
Decoders address: input the specified codec decoders address.
Setup Preset point: Preset point is to setup the camera position,
focus, zoom and lens in advance and memory them,and
use a numbers to remark the setup.
Add Preset pointInput a preset point in the preset
points edit box, the range is 1-128, then through the
direction key to adjust camera to the targeted

position, after adjusting,the preset point will be
saved.
Delete preset point: input a preset point in the edit
control will delete the preset enter, click "delete".
Cruise path is in certain speed camera, the path
through more orderly, cruise, each cruise points
include preset and stay time, so the set consists of
cruise path, cruise, retention time and preset
parameters such as a cruising speed of setup, in
"Settings" interface can be setup the
corresponding information. Now a equipment
support 16 cruise path of setup.

Cruise path setup: cruise path is an path that the camera is

running with the certain speed, the path pass several
cruise points with serial number, each cruise point
include preset point and stay time, so the setup of the
cruise path includes cruise point, preset point,retention
time and cruise speed parameters setup. in "setup"
interface can set the corresponding information. Now
each equipment can
Tracking setup: tracking which is used to record an irregular

movement lines of the camera which is defined
inadvance, enter "Settings" can setup the tracking.

Copy toAt the right selection frame of the copy to button,choose

the targeted channel,click the Copy to button,system
will apply the current channel setup information to other
targeted video channel.
After this page setup is completed, click "Enter" button, save the
setup information and exit, Click "Cancel"button, the setup
information will not be saved and then exit.

3.8.2.5 Video detection

Choose the video detection to enter into the setup interface.
Choose channelchoose the targeted channel,click the
selection frame to choose.
Typecan choose motion detection and video lost.
Alarm outputsetup the specified number of alarm output
channel when the alarm input need to trigger.
BuzzerWhether need to trigger the buzzer to alrm or not.
says open says invalid.
Time delayingAfter finishing the detection sigal,setup the
delaying time of the required items which need to deal
with.
Areasetup motion detection areasetup method,please refer to
3.8.2.3.
Sensitivity: choose the trigger motion detection sensitivity. If

choose "Don't test" ,then the above setup parametera are invalid.
Video Channelsetup the specified number of video channel
when the alarm input need to trigger.
Copy toAt the right selection frame of the copy to button,choose
the targeted channel,click the Copy to button,system
will apply the current channel setup information to other
targeted video channel.

3.12 Network Setup

In the system setup interface, choose "network setup"

and

enter into its setup interface,there are " Ethernet, PPPOE ,DDNS"
configuration.
Ethernet configuration: in the network configuration interface,
choose "Ethernet configuration" into its setup interface.
Physical address: show the physical address.
Port numberPort number must be more than or equal to 2000.
IP addressThe IP address must be only, it can not the same
with the segment of the host or have any other conflicts.
Subnet mask: use in the molecular segments.
The default gateway: realize the communication between the
different network, need to setup gateway address.
DNS addressAfter the equipment use PPPoE agreement to
access network,, will get dynamic IP address.
DHCPChoose whether to enable DHCP automatic acquisition
IP.
http portIE browser port, the default port is 80.
After this page setup is completed, click "Enter" button, save the
setup information and exit, Click "Cancel"button, the setup
information will not be saved and then exit.

PPPOE configuration: in the network configuration, choose

Start: "" says start the PPPoE dial-up Internet protocol," "
says can not start the PPPoE dial-up Internet protocol.
User name and password: in the edit box,input the user name

3.3.2 (4).
After this page setup is completed, click "Enter" button, save the
setup information and exit, Click "Cancel" button, the setup
information will not be saved and then exit.
DDNS configuration: in the network configuration interface,
choose "DDNS configuration" into its setup interface.
Start: "" says start the DNNS, " " says will not start the
DNNS.
Service providerchoose the corresponding service provider.
User name,password and domainin the editing frame, input
the user name,password and domain which apply from
the internet.Editing method,please refer to 3.3.24.
After this page setup is completed, click "Enter" button, save the

In the system setup interface, choose "record setup" into its

Channel chooseChoose the targeted channel which need to
setup, click selection frame to choose.
Streaming: choose streaming which need to setup, they are
"Mainstream" and "sub-stream "
Streaming typesChoose the required video streaming type, "
video streaming " indicates when the system is
recording,it only encode the video;"Composite stream"
indicates when the system is recording,it can encode
both the video and audio;
Bit rate type: Users can setup "fixed bitrate" and "variable bit
rate", "fixed bitrate" says system encode the images
according to the rate setting and video frame
rate;"Variable bitrate," says system encode according to
the image quality and video frame rate,but the rate will
be adjusted by the system automatically according to
video scene.
Bit rate capUsers choose the encoding rate according to their
requirement. The higher the rate is, the better the image
quality is, but also occupy hard disk space more.
Video framesUsers choose the video frames according to their

requirement. The higher the frames is, the more smooth
the image is, but also occupy hard disk space more.

Copy toAt the right selection frame of the copy to button,choose

the targeted channel,click the Copy to button,system
will apply the current channel setup information to other
targeted video channel.
After this page setup is completed, click "Enter" button, save the
setup information and exit, Click "Cancel"button, the setup
information will not be saved and then exit.

3.14 Close System

In the main menu interface, choose "close system" and enter into
the operation interface.Choose the corresponding operation items
on the selection box.
Cancellation of users: For the cancellation of the curretnt users.
After the cancellation, if you want to continue to use the
equipment, need to login system again.
Reboot: Restart the quipment, after confirmation,the equipment
will be restarted.
Close system: If you want close equipment,you should cut of
the power supply.

When using the PC client soft,please setup as following:

1 .The IE setup: if you use it at the first time, and unable to load
control, need setup IE as following: tools Internet options
security - Internet User-defined level select ActiveX
and plugin for opening, finally click [Enter].
Login: open IE and input IP address which is setup by host
network in the address bar (Factory default IP address is
http://192.168.1.23), enter login page, the diagram as below. Enter
your user name and password, the user name and password is the
same with the mainframe, input the correct user information,then land

After logging in,the main monitoring page is made of preview

window, PTZ control, preview mode, streaming selection, channels

1.7 Remote playback

Choose playback channel number, recording type, time condition

and click the search button, the left frame will display a list of search
results. Can flip or input page to jump to view video files (one page
display 20 files information and most support 4,000).
Files playback: choose the targeted files on the searching list
frame,double-click the file or click the file playback button,start to
playback at the right playback window, the playback control is the
same as the host.
Time playback: click the " time playback" button, playback
window will start playing video file with the start time setup.
Files download: click the files download button to select the
targeted file in the search list frame, after setting the saving path and
start to download the targeted file, the progress bar in the below will
display download progress status of the file.
