Guideline regarding reset of the

SYSADM password in a SSAS unit.


In case you have a SSAS with a unknown sysadm password, and you want to reset it,
please send a mail to [email protected] with the serial and the ISN number of the
terminal.
We will replay to your mail with the distb password. With the distb password, you can
reset the sysadm password.
We will only send the password to our distributors, so all end-users should contact the
distributor from where they had bought the system.
Please do as below, when you want to reset the sysadm password.
: su distb
Enter password: ********* (the password you received from us)
: su
Current user: distb
: password sysadm
Enter new password: ********
Confirm new password: ********
Password for user sysadm changed.
The distb password itself can be changed but if this is done and the new distb password is
forgotten the mini-C can only be reconfigured by sending the equipment back to Thrane
& Thrane. Therefore we do not recommend that the distb password is changed but
instead the distb password must be saved in a safe place.
