INTRODUCTION

Features of IP Addendum 2012


This Addendum has to be used in conjunction with the three
main volumes of Indian Pharmacopoeia 2010. It contains
information on new monographs and changes to, or additional
information on the items covered in volumes I, II and III of
IP 2010.
The numbering of pages of this volume is continuous with
that of the earlier volumes. The Index is cumulative and
contains the names of all the matter included in the main

volumes and in this Addendum. For ease of reference, the


page numbers of this Addendum are indicated in bold. An
entry that carries page numbers in normal and bold types
indicates that complete information on a specific matter,
including amendments to earlier texts, is available in the pages
indicated. In addition, the page numbers forming a part of
each volume as well as this Addendum are indicated at the
bottom of each odd-numbered page of the Index.
