Information on the Travel of BS Biology Students Travel Thailand and Lao PDR Purpose of Travel: To attend and participate in the 3rd International Conference on Integrating Science and Technology (ICIST 2014) to be held at Champasack University, Pakse, Lao PDR and visit the King Mongkut Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) and Rajamangala University of Technology Suvurnabhummi, (RMUTSB) Thailand
About ICIST 2014
This is an annual conference organized by The Association of Agricultural Technology in Southeast Asia (AATSEA) in cooperation with The Faculty of Agricultural Technology, KMITL, Bangkok, Thailand; Chamapasack University, Laos, PDR; Ramon Magsaysay Center for Agricultural Resources and Environmental Studies, CLSU, Philippines; Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok, Chantaburi Campus, Thailand; National University of Laos Nabong Campus, Lao, PDR; Journal of Agriculture Biology, Russia and Northern Mountainous Agriculture and Forestry Science Institute, Vietnam. At present, there are almost a hundred confirmed participants representing 17 countries to the conference. The participants are mostly academicians, researchers, graduate and some undergraduate students from distinguished universities around Asia and Europe in various fields of breeder sciences, agriculture and social science. Rajamangala University of Technology Suvurnabhumi King Mongkut Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) is one of the leading technical universities in Thailand. It has a long history of strong collaboration with the Central Luzon University, specially with the Faculty of Agricultural Technology and Faculty of Science. Rajamangala University of Technology Suvurnabhumi is one of the big network of technological universities of Thailand. Just like KMITL, CLSU shares a memorandum of understanding with RMUTSB. The visit to the these university may widen students perspectives about Asian education and give them more meaningful insights into their CLSU education. It is envisioned that the visit may help the students develop their ability to interact with people, specially across culture, and their commitment to their studies.
