Overview
FileZilla is free cross-platform FTP software, consisting of a FileZilla Client and a FileZilla Server. FileZilla
Server supports both FTP and FTP over SSL/TLS which will provide a secure encrypted connection to
the server. FileZilla also supports SSL, the same level of encryption supported by your Web browser, to
protect your data. It also supports on-the-fly data compression, which can improve data transfer rates.
Kofax Front Office Server (KFS) interfaces with many Multifunction Peripheral (MFP) makes and models,
some of which require a configured FTP server for receiving scanned images. This application note
provides the directions for configuring a FileZilla FTP server for the purpose of testing with KFS and an
MFP.
