PURPOSE To describe the procedure for installation of Sacrificial Magnesium Anode to ensuring its best result in protecting pipeline under Temporary Cathodic Protection and provide adequate quality assurance / control of workmanship and inspection at site. 2.0 REFERENCE Drawing No +: GSPL/DTPL/CP/DRG-14 3.0 RESPOSIBILITY It is the responsibility of the site engineer to ensure that the Sacrificial Magnesium Anode correctly installed and check voltage. ‘4.0 SCOPE This procedure covers the installation of Sacrificial Magnesium Anode related to Temporary Cathodic Protection System as per standard drawing indicated below. 5.0 MATERIALS & EQUIPMENTS Equipments: Caliorated portable multi meter, Standard Copper-Conper Sulphate Reference Cell Reference Cell and Too kit etc. Material : Pre packed Magnesium Anode, Epoxy & Hardener, M-Seal, PVC Funnel/Pipe, Cables, Cable Lugs, Measuring tape and tool kit, etc. 6.0 PROCEDURE 4 Measure 5 m distance from pipeline on the Right of use and mark anode loca Bel + Excavate the pit up to 1.5 m or pipeline bottom depth whichever is higher evignas requires vertical or horizontal * ‘Anodes shall be placed in a cotton bag as per design and approved drawings.
