because the content of our film includes language and violence that is unsuitable for
those under the age of 15. We recommend that no one under the required age watch
this film because we will not be responsible for any triggered disorders e.g. epilepsy.
Genre: The short film will consist of gory references such as stabbing and bleeding.
We will use the element of sound to add to the tension. As our film is a horror cross
thriller we will use scenes like the chase to build up tension and fear this will involve
the audience. We attempt to make the film as scary as possible, this will mean that
we are meeting our goal of the film being a horror cross thriller.
Language: The language we use will not be suitable for those of a younger age than
15 years this is because we may use references to swear words
Discrimination: The film we have made consists of two different races this is how
we have excluded any reference or trace of discrimination. The two races that we
interpreted into the production are Asian people and white people, our protagonist is
Asian and white and the antagonist is white.
Drugs: We will have no reference to drugs in the video because the age group of
Our film is 15+ and its not suitable to show people of this
Age this kind of reference due to their level of maturity.
Nudity/Sex: There will be no reference to sex and nudity in the video because
typically these scenes will appear in an 18 rated film.
Violence: There are several scenes where violence is present, we emphasise the
theme of fear to involve the audience more. There will be several scenes that are
gory, scenes like, when the two boys is the paranormal person hold a knife and his
shirt is covered in blood, this is why we advise that people under the age certification
of this film dont watch it.
Certification: This film cannot be viewed in cinemas ta anyone under the
age of 15. It can also not be bought or rented to anyone. This is because the
film contains strong language, violence and the loud sound effects which can
affect audience under the age of 15. We have chosen the certification 15
because the director can use a range of inappropriate techniques that would
not be suitable for the age of 15 this is the reason why we have not chosen the certification
12A. We have not chosen the certification 18 because it limits our audience and teenagers
are our main target audience. This is because they are interested in the horror genre. By
limiting our audience we would be limiting our chance of successful.
