Total Station Quick Reference Manual:
Steps for Making Job : 1. Press ON (RED) Button 2. Press ESC button and go to Main Page (Home Page) where we get SOKKIA and MEAS,MEDIA, MEM AND CNFG on F1, F2, F3 and F4 Buttons respectively 3. Go to F3 MEM option 4. Go to JOB option and press ENTER 5. Go to JOB SELECTION and press ENTER 6. Go to F1 LIST option and select the required job or for new job select any job having 0 points 7. Select the same job in COORD SEARCH JOB also and press ENTER 8. Go to JOB NAME EDIT (if required), change the name and press ENTER Steps for Station Orientation : 1. Go to MEAS mode and press CORDS options from Page 1 (P1) and F4. 2. Go to STN ORIENTATION and press ENTER 3. Go to STN COORDINATE and press ENTER 4. Feed station data either with Numeric button or with READ (if point exists in memory) and press F4 (OK). 5. Bisect your BS (Backsight) point or north 6. Press Angle/Co-ordinate. 7. Feed the coordinates of BS point in COORDS option and press OK YES or if you are taking north as zero (if backsight point is not available) than put 0 in ANGLE option.

8. Now if a BACKSIGHT point is available ,go to OBSERVATION option
and press ENTER. The coordinates displayed on screen should be same as give by u. 9. Now sight your IS/FS and press OBS.After getting the Co-ordinate press REC. Check the Code,Target Height and point No and press Ok. Setting Out : 1. Go to P3 F4 S O . 2. Go to STN ORIENTATION and press ENTER 3. Go to STN COORDINATE and press ENTER 4. Feed station data either with Numeric button or with READ (if point exists in memory) and press F4 (OK). 5. Press Angle/Co-ordinate. 6. Feed the coordinates of BS point in COORDS option and press OK YES or if you are taking north as zero (if backsight point is not available) than put 0 in ANGLE option. 7. Go to S O DATA option and press ENTER. 8. If point exists in memory select required point using READ button or else feed data using F2 (S-O) and EDIT and than press OK. 9. Now press F2 (S-O) until we get S-O H in the first row and dHA in second row. 10. Now rotate instrument and make dHA = 0 and put prism in the same line and take reading using OBS (F1) button and make H in the first row also =0 with shifting the prism. 11. After both H and dHA becomes zero the prism is at the required point. Missing Line Measurement(MLM) : 1. Go to P3 MLM and press Enter. 2. Press MLM again and press Enter. 3. Sight first point press Obs. 4. Sight the second point and press MLM. Page 2 of 5
5. Slope, Horizontal and Vertical distance is displayed on screen
between two points. Remote Elevation Measurement (REM) : 1. Go to Menu in P2.Press REM and Enter. 2. Again press REM and Enter. 3. Put the prism exactly below the required point and take reading with the help of OBS button. 4. Now press REM. 5. Now bisect the required point and the height would be displayed on the screen. Resection : This program is used to calculate the coordinates of unknown station point with respect to 2 known points: 1. Go to RESECTION option from MENU (Page 2 F1) and press ENTER. 2. Go to NEZ and press ENTER. 3. Sight the 1st point & press DIST.Put target height &press Ok. Press READ to feed the coordinates of the first known point. Select the known point and press ENTER. 4. . Sight the 2nd point & press DIST.Put target height &press Ok. Press READ to feed the coordinates of the second known point. Select the known point and press ENTER. 5. Press CALC to calculate the unknown station coordinates. 6. Press ENTER to go out of the resection programme and then press YES in SET AZIMUTH option. Area Calculation: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.
Go to Menu. Press Area Calculation(2 times). Press Read. Choose the first point & Enter. Select the all points for area. Now Press Calc. Can see the Area in Sq.m & Hec. Page 3 of 5
Data Tranfer from Total Station To USB :
1. Switch on the instrument. 2. Press ESC. 3. Press F2 (MEDIA). 4. Select Media selection & Enter. 5. Select the media type by pressing side arrow () & press Ok. 6. Select Save data & Enter. 7. Select JOB from list & press Enter. 8. When the points comes in OUT, press Ok (F4). 9. Input File name (if needed), Date, Time. 10. Format should be SDR33. 11. Press OK (F4). 12. Data Transfer is completed. STEPS ON COMPUTER. Open Prolink. Click File - Click Import. Dialog box will display Import conversion SDR file (* .SDR) click OK. Then select the file that has been transferred to be opened, and click Open. The Data will then be displayed on the screen. STEPS TO TRANSFER TO DXF Format. Click File - select Export. Select Current field book. - Export conversion DXF_PNEZD_anno (*.DXF) Click OK. Give a file name for the DXF file and click SAVE. Go to AutoCAD and Open the DXF File. STEPS TO TRANSFER TO TXT Format. Click File - select Export. Select Current field book. Export conversion Pt N E Z Cd (Tab) Del. FBK Export (*.txt) Click OK. Give a file name for the TXT file and click SAVE. Go to Excel and Open the TXT File.
