Letter of intent for Masters degree
Dear Sir / Madam,
I wish to apply for the Masters degree in International Business and Entrepreneurship at the
University of Anonomity. I am applying for this programme because I believe it to be an ideal
match with my aspirations of pursuing a career within international management consulting and
entrepreneurial endeavors. I hold this belief in particular due to the University of Anonomity's
hands-on learning style, international orientation, high international satisfaction rate and the
good reputation that it enjoys.
My avid interest in entrepreneurship and management originates with my practical work
experience along with working on various hands-on teamwork projects during my studies, acting
both as consultant for Danish companies as well as taking on entrepreneurial endeavors. Several
of the projects were highly commended by both lecturers and clients, with two of them receiving
the mark A+. I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in technology-based business
development at Aarhus University. This is an interdisciplinary study, combining technology
(computer science), business processes, management, and the economics of start-up companies.
On top of my academic achievements I have worked with development of new processes and
business initiatives at Siemens Wind Power. Presently I am employed as an intern at Logica IT
Consulting, where I function in the role of project manager, charged with marketing planning and
strategic proposals for a future business unit. Furthermore, with reference to my CV, I can state
that I have strong analytical skills and a logical strain of thought, which enables me to quickly
analyze and solve complex and ambiguous problems.
While my academic background provides me with technical and interdisciplinary knowledge fit
for a project manager, it lacks dedicated business and entrepreneurial subjects along with crosscultural competencies. This I why courses like International Entrepreneurship & Innovation, the
international management courses along with the International Management Solution project fit
perfectly with my aspirations. Furthermore I can personally identify with the programs values,
such as personal initiative, responsibility and adapting to your environment, all of which I have
Very respectfully,

I have decided to go in for graduate studies which calls for a personal commitment to the
fulfilling craft of independent research and that involves willingly making personal sacrifices of
time, leisure and immediate reward. In turn I shall get intellectual satisfaction and the
gratification of becoming a contributor to knowledge through research and the greater personal
rewards of learning and discovery. I believe that I possess the motivation, intellectual ability and
preparation to set out on this exhilarating and arduous path and to make significant original
contributions to your on-going research work.
I look forward to joining your University as a graduate student at your esteemed department.

Letter of motivation for job
Respected Sir/Madam,
I, (Your Name), currently in my first year at (XYZ) College, would like to apply for a 6 month
internship for a post in the marketing department of your reputed company.
I am currently pursuing my Masters in Marketing and at our college, we understand the
importance of gaining practical knowledge which will complement the textbook knowledge and
help a student gain a wider perspective of the subjects.
During this course I have found that I am decently skilled in the art of persuasion, as my teachers
and my former employer of 5 years will rightly testify. I've had a knack of getting my point
across very well, communicating with people, understanding their needs and providing them
with a value proposition which is truly hard to refuse. My skills lie in my ability to
comprehensively read and understand the situation and act quickly and yet smartly.
But of what use is a raw skill, unless it is sharpened? Therefore, I decided to enroll myself in the
prestigious XYZ College to help me understand more about the subject I truly adore, to help me
understand the mind of the consumer better and to learn some soft skills which have proven to be
effective over many years.
Laden with textbook knowledge, I wish to implement the skills that I have learned, in the real
world. What better way to prove that I have truly been benefited by this education, and what
better place to start, than a company as reputed as yours?
So working for your institution is something I look forward to very keenly.
I have enclosed my resume and cover letter as well.
Thanking You,
