INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES FOR APPOINTMENT
1. All applications should be sent to the Deputy Registrar Selection !ommittee Section Aligarh "uslim
#niversity Aligarh. Application received after the prescribed date $ill not be entertained e%cept by special
permission of the &ice'!hancellor.
(. !andidates should send their applications by Registered Post )A.D.*. Any change in the mailing address
should be immediately notified to the Deputy Registrar. +o$ever the #niversity does not accept any
responsibility for redirection of communication to the ne$ address. !andidates must arrange for the
redirection of communication to their ne$ address if any.
,. )a* Application fee once received shall not be refunded
)b* !andidates applying from outside -ndia should also send their application fee along$ith their
application. .he amount of application fee must not fall short of the prescribed fee $hen
application converted in -ndian currency.
/. )a* !andidates should send self attested copies of their degrees or diploma certificates or other
certificates along$ith respective mar0sheets of their 1ualifications and their "atriculation or
e1uivalent certificates in support of their declaration of age originals should not be sent $ith the
application but should be produced at the time of intervie$. -f any enclosures )boo0s publications
manuscripts. etc.* are to be sent they should be sent along$ith the application and not separately
other$ise they are liable to be misplaced.
)b* !andidates may send copies of testimonials from persons intimately ac1uainted $ith their $or0
and character. .hey must also give the names and addresses of t$o persons in -ndia to $hom
references can be made. -f they have been in employment they should either give their present or
most recent employers or immediate superiors as one of the referees or submit recent testimonials
from them. -f ho$ever the posts for $hich they are applying are under their present employers
they must name atleast one of them as their referee 2riginal testimonials should not be sent unless
as0ed for.
3. !andidates already in service $hether in a permanent. 4uasi'permanent or temporary capacity must apply
through their employers. .hey may ho$ever if they so desire submit advance copies of their applications
direct to the #niversity. .hese $ill be considered provisionally but the original application must ordinarily
reach the university $ithin a fortnight after the closing date if there is further delay in for$arding of the
applications the candidate should if and $hen called for intervie$ bring $ith them the $ritten permission
of their +ead of the Department or 2ffice as the case may be. -n the absence of such permission the
candidates may not be intervie$ed.
5. !anvassing in any form $ill dis1ualify candidate.
6. .he #niversity reserves the right to call or not to call any candidate for intervie$. .he summoning of
candidates for intervie$ conveys no assurance $hatsoever that they $ill be selected.
7. Appointment orders to selected candidates $ill be issued by the #niversity. No correspondence $ill be
made $ith candidates $ho are not selected.
8. !andidates must be in sound bodily health. .hey must if selected be prepared to undergo such "edical
9%amination and satisfy such "edical Authority as the #niversity may direct.
1:. !andidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess atleast the
essential;desirable 1ualifications laid do$n in the advertisement.
11. After <oining the service of the #niversity the candidates $ill have to abide by the Rules Regulations
Statutes and 2rdinances of the #niversity made from time to time.
-ntimation about the date of intervie$ $ill be sent to the candidates applying from outside -ndia but the
#niversity $ill not be responsible for any postal delay. Such candidates may come to attend the intervie$ on their
o$n ris0 as the date of intervie$ may be postponed. +o$ever if such candidates $ish to be considered in absentia
