Preliminary Remarks

To facilitate system startup, we have enclosed the test code and test parameter sets
which will help you during the first steps and tests with your Micro Automation Sets.
They enable quick testing of the hardware and software interfaces between the
prod-ucts described in the Micro Automation Sets.
The test code is always assigned to the components used in the set and shows
their basic interaction, but does not actually represent any real applications in terms
of a technological problem solution with definable characteristics.

Note
A PG (e.g. PG 740 III; 6ES7 742-0AC00-0BA2) or a PC with free serial interface is
required for running configuration software and tools!
When you use PGs, the faster MPI interface can be used to transmit the configuration.

4 Method of function (in accordance with Figure 3-1)
The two components (S7-200 CPU and MICROMASTER 420) are con-
nected with the RS 485 interface and the USS protocol. With a simple con-
figuration, the motor can be turned ON/OFF and its speed can be controlled
continuously.
The user can interfere in the process with a TD200.
5 Configuration/Testcode
To call the project file, click "Kopfstation_V1.3.mwp" and "Untersta-
tion_V1.3" if you are using STEP7 Micro/WIN 3.02 or later.The appro-
priate project file is included, just like this document, in the ZIP-file you
have downloaded.
If you are using an earlier version of STEP7-Micro/WIN, start Micro/WIN
and then select the menu commands "project > open " to start
the test project.
The parameters used during the test for the MICROMASTER 410 are listed
in the following table.
Parameters Function Number Setting
Access level User enable P003 3
Control type USS P700 5
Speed requirements USS P1000 5
USS speed Baud rate = 19.2K P2010 7
USS station address Slave address 0 P2011 0
Accept values in EEPROM Save settings P0971 1
The test code as well as the specified test parameters/configurations
enable the following features:
Motor ON/OFF (M1.0)
Change rotation direction (M1.4)
Set speed to 0 (M2.1)
Set speed to 30% (M2.2)
Set speed to 90% (M2.3)
Note:
You will find a more detailed "Micro Application Example" with detailed program code,
installation guide and the performance data in the topic Controlled Positioning with
Asynchronous Motors including HMI Configuration
