6hi%h 6as the main sour%e of information.
01# Ban2 Bangladesh 3imited has the %ommitment to effi%ient )an2>s operations. /his
)an2 )elieves in it is un%ompromising to fulfill its %ustomer needs and satisfa%tion and

INTRODUCTION

0%onomy of Bangladesh is in the group of 6orld>s most underdeveloped e%onomi%s.
=ne of the reasons may )e its underdeveloped Ban2ing system. odern Ban2ing
system plays a vital role for a nation>s e%onomi% development. =ver the last fe6 years
the Ban2ing 6orld has )een undergoing a lot of %hange due to deregulation,
te%hnologi%al innovations, glo)ali"ation et%. /hese %hanges also made revolutionary
%hanges of a %ountry>s e%onomy. Present 6orld is %hanging rapidly to fa%e the
%hallenge of %ompetitive free mar2et e%onomy. #t is 6ell re%ogni"ed that there is an
urgent need for )etter$5ualified management and )etter$trained staff in the dynami%
glo)al finan%ial mar2et. Bangladesh is no e7%epting of this trend. Ban2ing se%tor in
Bangladesh is fa%ing %hallenges from different angles though its prospe%t is )right in
the future. oney and Ban2ing is the %enter around 6hi%h all$e%onomi% s%ien%e
%lusters. /herefore, this report is %arried on to find out the pro)lems fa%ed )y 01#
Ban2 and re%ommend some measures to over%ome these pro)lems for e%onomi%
development of Bangladesh.
#nternship program is a pra%ti%al re5uirement of BBA degree. # 6as for doing my
internship in 07port #mport Ban2 Bangladesh 3imited B01# Ban2C for the period of ;0
days starting from =%to)er 01 to De%em)er D1, 200;. During my internship period in
the 01# Ban2 B&hulna Bran%hC, # have 6or2ed under some department of the Ban2. #
6or2 under the supervision d. .aru2 @ossain and operation manager for his assistant
and guidan%e in %ompleting this report.

their offi%ial do%uments from here and there. #t is a time %onsuming matter
also.

guides all other )an2s as mother )an2. .our nationali"ed %ommer%ial )an2s, five
governments o6ned spe%iali"ed )an2s, thirty$t6o domesti% private )an2s and tern
foreign )an2s are in operation in Bangladesh.07port #mport Ban2 of Bangladesh
3imited B01#C is one of the largest domesti% private )an2s of our %ountry. #t is also
2no6n as a (hariah )ased #slami% )an2. #t esta)lished on June 02, 1;;; as a )an2ing
%ompany under the leadership of 3ate r. (hah*ahan &a)ir, founder %hairperson 6ho
had a long dream of floating a %ommer%ial )an2, 6hi%h 6ould %ontri)ute to the so%io$
e%onomi% development of our %ountry. @e had a long e7perien%e as a good )an2er. A
group of highly 5ualified and su%%essful entrepreneurs *oined their hands 6ith the
founder %hairperson to materiali"e his dream. #ndeed, all of them proved themselves in
their respe%tive )usiness as most su%%essful star 6ith their endeavor, intelligen%e, hard
6or2ing and talent entrepreneurship. Among them, r. Na"rul #slam a"umder

time to rea%h produ%ts or goods one pla%e to another. Businesspersons of other region
%ould not sho6 their interest on this %ity. (o government should %onstru%t several
roads, )ridges spe%ially the ,Padma Bride4 to ma2e the %ommuni%ation and
transportation system smoothly. Besides government should develop the ignored
rail6ay %ommuni%ation system, moderni"e the platform, laun%h high$speed rail vehi%les
