Your child will be participating in technology education during the 2014 -15 school
year. Honors Engineering Principles and Application EPA! is designed to apply
concepts co"ered in #ath and science. EPA $ocuses on building technological

Engineering Notebook 'tudents will #aintain an engineering noteboo+ consisting o$ class
notes* wor+* and handouts. 6t will be e"aluated in sa#e #anner as indi"idual
pro>ects* with the $ollowing considerations?
1. 1otes - #aterials should be in consecuti"e order* dated* and location
docu#ented in table o$ contents.
2. (ontent should be detailed* include s+etches and research re$erences* and
neat.
3. 6$ absent* notes and #aterials should be obtained $or# $ellow student with
note stating student was absent and the student2s na#e who# notes were

4. Assign#ents and ho#ewor+ should be noted $or each day2s entry.
Unit Portfolio/ engineering journal: At conclusion of each unit students will submit their engineering
journal as the documentation of their project. This will be an integral part of grade
