Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 Enterprise Edition installation guidelines



1. Open My Computer and locate the installer from a CD or flash drive. The figure below shows the installer is
in drive F:\.

2. If you are using CD you can select AutoPlay otherwise select Open to view the files.

3. Locate the SETUP file, as shown in figure below and double click.

4. After you double click, the figure below shows Installation Wizard. Click Next to continue.

5. Choose I accept the agreement and press Next button.

6. Type the product ID NUMBER, as shown below (047-1234567).

7. Select Update Microsoft Visual Machine for Java then click Next button to restart the computer.

8. After you restart, the computer shows again the installation wizard. Select Custom and press Next button.

9. Use the default location C:\Program Files\Microsoft, then click Next button.

10. Click the Continue button.

11. Click Ok button.

12. Wait while setup is searching for installed components.

13. Click the Yes button.

14. Specify the components you want to install.

15. Select only the following:
Check Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0
ActiveX
DataAccess
Enterprise Tools
Graphics
Tools
Then click Continue button.

16. Start of the installation Process. Wait until 100%

17. After the installation process Restart Windows.

18. After you restart, a dialog box will ask you to install MSDN. DO NOT install.

19. Uncheck the Install MSD Check box and select Next button.

20. If the computer displays the message shown on the figure below, click Yes button.

23. Uncheck the Register Now and click Finish button.

24. You can click START All Programs Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 to start
the Visual Basic or

25. You right click the Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 iconSent ToDesktop(create shortcut) to create a Visual
Basic 6.0 shortcut icon.

26. The figure below shows the shortcut icon of the Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0. You can simply double click the
icon to open the Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0.
