The course content will be taught and implemented with the aim to develop different
types of skills leading to the achievement of the following competency:
1) Use MS Office software for word-processing, data analysis and preparing
presentations.
2) Exercises/practical/experiments are designed and implemented with an attempt to
develop different types of skills leading to the achievement of the competency.
Objectives
This subject envisages making the student know the fundamentals of Microsoft Office. It
will also help the students to have hands on experience on different application software
used for office automation like MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint, day-to-day
problem solving, in particular for creating business documents, data analysis and
graphical representations.
1) The students are required to develop skills regarding the Microsoft Office in day
to day life. As an assistant professor, I would be developing certain experiments for the
students which help them to understand the underlying concepts of Microsoft Office in
the day to day life. The students are required to work on the experiments in Individual /
Groups and submit them before the due date.
2) As I am teaching in regional level college , the students who are joining this course
belongs to various cultural , social backgrounds which a little proficiency towards English
Language and a very limited computer skills.
3) The lesson will be combination of Online and Classroom teaching as I am planning to
include it in my regular college timetable, with an additional facility for the students who
missed the lectures due to some reasons.

I would be using the following virtual components for delivering of Activities:
- Ammy Admin: Its a Remote Desktop Connection Software where we can take the
access of Users system over the internet connection without worrying about our physical
location and distance. Suppose a student is facing any problem while doing experiments,
then I can take the access of the system through Ammy Admin and help him out to
resolve the doubts by guiding him the correct procedure. Moreover, its available at Free
of Cost for the users.
- Google Drive: I am planning to use the Google Drive to share the resources, and teach
them to work on the office module by creating documents through docs.google.com .
Now, I am preferring this as its an Open Source(Free of Cost). The students can save the
documents on the Online(Cloud Environment) without worrying about the harm to the
file due to system failure/maintenance.

Discussion Forums: The students are encouraged to participate in the discussion forum
which which be created with the help of www.classchatter.com/. Our students will be
participating in the Group Discussion and Debate so as to grasp the hold of knowledge in
a proper way. It will also build up their confidence to speak in front of others.
Notes:The students will be provided the notes and materials regarding each and every
topic , experiment so that students can use it for self learning process.
Lesson Activities
Summary
Project: After completion of each and every lesson the students are required to do a
project on the topic and submit if before the due date.The project will be designed by
considering the level of each and every student. We will try to incorporate some
innovative project where the students can use up his ideas to explore the knowledge.
Example, we can tell the students to make a powerpoint presentation on his favorite
topics with the use of custom animation, word art and then present the same
presentation in front of the class.
Self Check Questions and Assignments: We will be providing the assignments to
students after the completion of the lecture. The students will be required to complete
the assignments within the stipulated time . After the submission of assignments , we
will provide the Solutions of these assignments, so that te students can refer it and learn
the correct way of writing answers in university Exams.
