Impression:
These available learning resources are useful and considered as an important learning tool in the
students learning process. These can provide, aid and supplement their learning. Generally, based
on what we have learned in our Educational Technology 1 & 2 classes, the learning of the students
depends on the way how the teacher uses strategies and techniques in carrying out his/her lesson.
Meaning, any resources if not properly used will be useless. Although, the learning resources in our
cooperating school is just limited but still they were very useful. Therefore, we can say that learning
resources are useless without a teacher. The teacher plays a very important role in teaching.

description):
Materials for aesthetic enhancement:

MY ANALYSIS:

Did the board display design reflect the likes/interests of its target
audiences? Why or why not?

Yes, the board display design reflect the likes and interest of the
audiences because it reminds the teacher as well as the students to do
their obligations and responsibilities as well as their awards and
achievements.

Was the language used clear and simple for the target audience to
understand? Why? Why not?

Yes, all words found there were understandable, vivid and simple.
The designswere eye friendly. Since it is a bulletin board, students can
easily get information and become aware and updated of particular things.

What do you think was the purpose of the board display? Was it
effective? Why? Why not?

For us, the purpose of the board display is to catch students
attention as well as provide necessary information, its because after
looking to the designs the students will be interested also to read whats
behind of those designs. Yes, because I saw students reading information
and that is one indication that the bulletin is useful and the purpose was
attained.

What suggestions can you make?

To make it more attractive, the in-charge should give emphasis on
the color harmony, the font size and style and also the designs so that it
can catch others attention even in far distance.

MY ANALYSIS:

Where the learning resources/ materials arranged properly according to
their functions and characteristics?

Yes, like for instance in their Science Laboratory, the equipment
were kept in the cabinet and were arranged properly. Equipment which
are too big were placed above the cabinet while other equipment were
placed at the different corners to beautify the laboratory. The Library on
the other hand is so clean. Everything is in order and books are properly
arranged. Some of the books has defects due to the typhoon Yolanda.
We have also seen their Computer Laboratory which is a meter away
from their Library. They have separated the non-functional from the
functional ones and everything is properly arranged. In general, their
school has a particular room for every earning resources.

Do the guidelines and procedures facilitate easy access to the materials by
the teachers? Why or Why not?

Yes, the procedures and guidelines posted in the walls of each
Learning Resource Center which are very clear which makes it easy for
the teachers to use or access the resources or materials.

What are the strength of this Learning Resource Center?

Based on our observations, unlike other schools, INCS have
accommodated one room for one laboratory depending on their uses. It
is advantageous on the part of the students specifically in the learning
process. They have a place where they can do experiments, cooking
lessons, dress making, and explore the wonder of the cyber space and
have their hands on activities. The library also provides opportunity for
those students who cant afford to have a research using the internet.
Therefore, there is a concrete learning and it is also a direct purposeful
experience of the students. It is stated in Edgar Dales theory that concrete
learning and first hand experiences play an important role in achieving
good quality learning.

What are its weaknesses?

As what we have observed the room cannot accommodate all the
students especially their Library. It should be big enough to cope with the
students growing population. In their Computer Laboratory the number
of the computers were just few and it cannot accommodate all the
students. It will be difficult to conduct hands on activities.

What suggestion can you make?

I should suggest that the school should allocate a budget in
purchasing additional materials or resources to accommodate the number
of students in the school.

Bernadeth`s Reflection:

REFLECTION:

1. Which of the materials in the teaching-learning process caught your
interest the most? Why?
The teaching-learning materials that caught my interest the most is their
books in their library and the human skeleton found in their laboratory. Their
books caught my interest because some of them were not properly covered
while some were already damaged and dirty. The floor was so shiny. I was also
impressed because of their policy that no one can enter the library wearing
their shoes. The human skeleton also caught my interest because there are
labels in each part and the Science Laboratory is very clean.

2. Which gadgets/ materials are you already confident to use or
operate?
The books, computer, r and other materials that were related to
multimedia presentation were the gadgets or materials that give me a strong
belief in my own ability to use or operate it.

3. Which ones you feel to learn more about?
The materials that I need to learn more is a about the projector. I
need to learn more on how to connect my computer to the projector in
projecting any images or videos from my computer.

Epson's new projectors made for education, training
Epson Americahas been pushing into classrooms and training areas in recent months,
with new projector models designed for those environments. Now the company is upping the
ante, with two new product lines that are specifically created for education.
The new PowerLite S17, X17 and W17 are part of the first family. They are bright,
powerful and affordable, and they were designed to be easy for teachers to use in K-12
classrooms. They offer advanced connectivity and high image quality and are available in
SVGA, XGA and widescreen WXGA resolutions. This series also includes HDMI connectivity
and gives instructors and presenters wireless functionality with an optional network module that
is sold separately. The PowerLite S17, X17 and W17 are available for between $399 and $599.
The second family of PowerLite 97, 98, 99W, 955W and 965 projectors feature advanced
network connectivity options where high image quality and sharing is needed. They are designed
with more powerful audio and a range of networking options, including RJ-45 and HDMI
connectivity. These projectors also feature new moderator software, which allows instructors to
present up to four different device screens to the class, making collaboration easier in classrooms
where students bring their own devices.
All of the new projectors feature 3LCD technology that delivers true-to-life color and
detail for powerful presentations, according to Epson. 3LCD technology provides an energy-
efficient light engine that uses available lamp light to improve image displays. In contrast to
single-chip DLP technology, 3LCD requires, on average, 25 percent less electricity per lumen of
brightness. Some of the new projectors also have Epson's exclusive E-TORL lamp technology.
The PowerLite 955W and 965 lamps can last up to 6,000 hours when placed in economy mode,
helping to maximize presentation time.

1. Which of the materials in the teaching learning process caught your
interest the most? Why?
The materials in the teaching-learning process which caught my
interest the most were the computers, books and the model of the
human skeleton. The computers are very important especially now that
we are living in the modern world. The model of the human skeleton
which was labeled making it easy for the students to know the different
name of bones and its significance. The books caught my attention
most because some of the covers were blurred and torn because of the
typhoon Yolanda.

2. Which gadgets/ materials are you already confident to use or
operate?
I am already confident to use the computer since I am now
taking the subject EdTech2 and I also know its basic even when Im
still in elementary years. I am also acquainted on some of its apps.

3. Which ones you feel to earn more about
I think I still need to know how to use the electronic projector
because honestly, I still dont know how to use it and its a big slap on
my face because I am an educator yet I dont know how to operate it.

DLP Projectors for Education
Creating technology innovations for the 21st Century
Classroom

In a competitive world, you want the best technology tools in the
classroom; technology that will offer superior advantages for your
teachers and students. DLP projector technology has been offering this
advantage for years and continues to raise the bar through innovations
that expand instructional reach for teachers and lower the total cost of
ownership (TCO) for schools at the same time. With Filter-free designs
that require less maintenance and offer lower operating costs, DLP
projectors help your school save money. Plus, unlike other technologies,
DLP projectors have consistent color accuracy even after extended
periods of usage. So you will have a reliable projection system for years
and years.
Todays technologically savvy students need to be engaged in a

New Short-Throw Projectors Improve Teaching and Learning in
Mill Valley Classrooms.

The height of school age
children can vary significantly
impacting how visual teaching
hardware interacts with both
the teacher and the students.
Such problems must be taken into account for A/V design in an
education setting. This was the case in Mill Valley, CA where a
series of summer technology upgrades in the districts K-5
schools proved problematic. Children had a hard time reaching
the top areas of the 7-foot projection screens with interactive
overlays that were installed in the classrooms. In addition,
when a student would stand in front of the screen it would cast
a shadow on the surface as well as block the view for some of
the students classmates.

1. Which of the materials in the teaching learning process caught your
interest the most? Why?
The materials in the teaching learning process caught my interest
the most was the computer and the laboratory because as we a know that
these things can really help us a lot in giving information to the students
and at the same time you use it as long as it is related to the topic, for
example giving activities or exercises that enhance the interest of the
students like educational gaming, these earning resources can really help
to introduce, also the new set-up in using computer like showing some
videos and information using the multimedia.

2. Which gadgets/ materials are you already confident to use or operate?
The materials that that I`m confident to operate is the projector
because it is easy to use as long as you know how to comprehend the
procedure on using and a little confident in operating the computer.

3. Which ones you feel to learn more about.
I need to learn more about operating the computer because as we
observe nowadays that we are surrounded by technologies especially

Effective communication
Imagine the possibilities of a classroom designed
around a DLP projector system. The most complex
lessons can be brought to life though integration of
virtually every teaching tool under the sun with the
projector system.
New teaching tools
A DLP education projector can help improve
student performance by encouraging greater
classroom participation to increase the retention of
the content being displayed. From video game style
role-playing and interactive simulations and digital
imaging-based presentations, to engaging Internet
excursions, students get so much more from the
curriculum when its experienced through the
brilliance and clarity of a DLP projector.
