A tight set of brand guidelines is essential for usabil-


ity, accessibility, message clarity, and reputation.
Guidelines offer a foundation to create consistency
across websites, apps and any services or products
under your brand offering for users to identify with.
Brand Guidelines - Recommended Folders
Here are our recommendations for the 9 most important folders required when
setting up brand guidelines. To make your setup even easier, weve already set
your account up with all 9 folders, plus a Getting Started guide with a brief in-
troductory video, and this cheat sheet to get you started.
In each of the folders, youll see we added a few sample fles. Just replace
these samples with your actual fles, and your brand guidelines will be ready to
share with your team in no time!
Brand Guidelines Folder
Brand identity - corporate materials
Brand identity - websites and apps (mobile
devices and tablets)
Color Palette Folder
Primary color palette
Secondary color palette
Photo or illustration style
Provide Pantone (PMS), RGB, HEX, and CMYK
equivalents of the colors in your color pal-
ette for varied uses.
Fonts Folder
Typography style
Corporate typefaces
Supporting elements
Include typeface size, line height, etc.
Be sure to specify fonts that can be used in
header vs. body text, online, offine, and so on.
Logos Folder
Primary logo
Horizontal and vertical representations of
your logo with and without tagline-as needed
Secondary and supporting logos (e.g.black/
white logo, transparent logo)
Varying logo sizes (Color: preferred and vari-
ations; positive, reverse, 4-color, 1-color)
Product names/logos where applicable
Acceptable logo sizes and variations sizes
Square version of the logo (if original logo
is not square)
Infographics Folder

Step by step instructions
Statistical analysis told in images
Screenshots Folder

Site design and interface
App design and interface
Web page templates
Content style and administration

Add images, names and titles of company lead-
ers such as:

Creating your own folders
Enter the folder description -
e.g. Upload your templates
here
Optionally, add a thumbnail to
help identify the folder
Be sure to click Save at the bot-
tom!
