SUPER QUIZ CHALLENGE EXTRAVAGANZA

General Mechanics:
1. The quiz bowl will be made up of three levels. In each level, teams will be gradually eliminated
leaving only 2 teams in the fnal level.
2. ach team shall be composed of ! members who must be bona fde students of programs
under their banner team, and they will be given sheets of paper on which all their answers will be
written.
!. In all levels, a panel of arbiters will "udge whenever a question or an ob"ection is raised.
#. The arbiters have the power to $%%&T $'()*(, '+,,I-. $ /+(TI0' and 1I2 1 point
demerits to teams who violate the /34s *ules on (portsmanship. $n ob"ection should be raised
right after the question of interest. If done later, it will be disregarded.
Rules on Sor!s"anshi:
1. 'o audience or co5competitor coaching.
2. 'o bringing of electronic devices.
!. 'o indecent and6or disorderly behaviour.
#. 'o cheating of any sort.
LEVEL #: NAMING $LITZ
1. The quiz master will draw from a pool of 27 lots, a GENERAL class of nouns. 8%olor, %ountry,
1em (tone, etc.9. There will be : rounds in this level.
2. )hen the bell is rung, each team will have to write a specifc name under that class of noun
for under 1; seconds. 8%olors< *=, 2I0,T, 3,+9. $nother ring will signify the end of the time
wherein each team has to raise high, and never put down their answers unless otherwise told to
do so.

#. The team who had given the longest name will receive ! points, the ne>t 2, and the ne>t 1.
;. In case teams will have the same word, they will be ran?ed together and given the same

placers from level 1 will choose a category frst. The questions are for all of the
contestants and not "ust for the ones who chose the category. $fter the 2 two questions, the ne>t

!. The questions will be read twice, and the contestants will be given 1; seconds to answer easy
questions and 2; seconds for average questions. The time will start to run and the contestants
are allowed to start answering, only after the bell is rung. $nother ring will signify the end of the
time wherein each team has to raise high, and never put down their answers unless otherwise
told to do so.
#. The 2 teams with the highest accumulated points will advance to the fnal level.
LEVEL (: CLINCHER CHALLENGE
1. The two fnals team and the panel of arbiters will each pic? 1 category from the unpic?ed
categories on the board. Two questions from each category will be as?ed, ma?ing that a total of
si> questions all in all.
2. The question to be as?ed will be of a =I--I%+,T nature. 'o choices will be given.
!. The questions will be read twice, and the contestants will be given !7 seconds to answer the
question. The time will start to run and the contestants are allowed to start answering, only after
the bell is rung. $nother ring will signify the end of the time wherein each team has to raise high,
and never put down their answers unless otherwise told to do so.
!. The team with the most correct answers will be hailed as winners.
