Specification: A two-compound zinc phosphate cement in the form of powder and liquid.
Indications: 1) Base layer material under amalgam and composite fillings. 2) Temporary fillings. 3) Crown and bridge bonding. 4) Root canal filling.
Contra-indications: The application of ADHESOR
is contra-indicated in the case of a known hypersensitivity to any component
of the product.
Undesirable side-effects: With applications in the proximity of a pulp, irritation may occur. Dentine must then be covered with a thin layer of Ca(OH) 2 -based material.
Working (designed for manual mixing): The mixing is done on a glass plate with a non-corroding spatula at the temperature of 23 1 C. To extend the working time, mixing at a temperature below 20 C is recommended. Gradual adding of the powder into the liquid is also recommended.
a) Base Layers and Fillings: Mixing ratio: in weight - 2.30 g of the powder to 0.5 ml of the liquid, i.e. 2.30 g of the powder to 0.80 g of the liquid in volume - 2 scoops of the powder to 3 drops of the liquid
Mixing time: 2 - 2.5 minutes
Working time: 4 - 4.5 min (from the start of mixing to the start of setting)
Setting time: 6 - 7 min (from the start of mixing to complete setting) The final treatment of the prepared base or filling can be made immediately upon setting.
b) Fixed Bridge Bonding: Mixing ratio: in weight - 1.40 g of the powder to 0.5 ml of the liquid, i.e. 1.40 g of the powder to 0.80 g of the liquid in volume - 2 scoops of the powder to 5 drops of the liquid
Mixing time: 60 - 90 seconds
Working time: 3-4 min (from the start of mixing to the start of setting)
Setting time: 6-8 min (from the start of mixing to complete setting)
Notice: The dentine must be covered with a thin layer of a calcium-hydroxide medicament at application of the cement in close proximity to the pulp. The composition of the liquid and powder is subject to change when exposed in air, therefore the manufacturer recommends that both containers should be tightly closed.
Warning: The ADHESOR
liquid contains a component which irritates skin and mucosa.
Storage: Store in a dry and dark place at 5 - 25 C, in a well sealed container.
