We NEED You!
SOES MEDIA Magnet wants our children to participate in a
program called WATCH D.O.G.S (Dads of Great Students). This program
is a national program run by the MEN of students in our school. The goals
of the WATCH D.O.G.S. program are (1) to provide positive male role
models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is
important; (2) to provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school
security and reduce bullying. The program asks each Father Figure to
volunteer one day each year in providing a variety of tasks to actively
engage with not only your own child, but other students as well. Tasks
could include loading/unloading buses and cars, monitoring the lunch
room, eating with students, playing at recess, helping in the classroom
with a teachers guidance, etc.
In order to start the program, we need a few dedicated men to
lead this initiative. We have scheduled a conference call training for
Oct. 16 at 3pm.
Please call me at 476-8500 to let me know of your interest. I am
waiting for your phone call!
