Montgomery Elementary

The administrative staff looked closely at the AEIS data from last school year and compared the common assessments this year to last year and
they have revealed a great increase in the comparison of the data of last year at this same time. The school will be giving a TAKS release the
second week of January 2010, and are anticipating great gains. According to the administrative team, using classroom walkthroughs and
assessment data, they felt the gains were related to the use of technology in the classrooms thus far. Speaking with the administrative team about
the technology plan for the 2010-2011 school year the decisions were made that they would follow through with the SDMC and conduct dialogues
about the school pursing the completion of the classrooms with SMART boards, purchase scanners for each classroom and the purchasing one
mobile computer lab per grade level starting with the fifth grade. The principal will also ask for the fifth grade teachers to attend extensive
professional development on the mobile computer lab and the scanners, as well as have the computer lab teacher attend.
