Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi taala wabarakatuh
and a very good morning to everyone. On behalf of di
organising committee, I would like to say welcome to
all of you. We are very honoured and content to
welcome all for this year, 2014 Public Speaking
Competition.


I am Dayang Afiqah Awangku Isa as your emcee for
this morning.


We are delighted to welcome every contestant to our
school, and extend the warmest welcome to those who
have travelled from distance. I would like to express our
heartfelt gratitude for your presence at this memorable
occasion. It is indeed a pleasure to have all of you today.
So please sit down, relax and enjoy the rest of the
morning.
















Ladies and gentleman,
di aim of this competition is to promote, support and
(divelep) the skills of public speaking in schools.

For your information, there are 10 schools altogether
who participate in this year public speaking
competition.

JUDGES/
TIMEKEEPER

Let me introduce to all of you the judges for todays
competition. The first judge is _________ as a chief
judge.
The next person beside him/her is
______________as the second judge. And the next
person to him/her is __________ as the third judge.

All the judges decisions are final and individual marks
will not be disclosed.
The timekeeper for this competition is Ms. Suzan
Jessica Simon.


RULES AND
REGULATION
S

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Before we begin, allow me to address the rules and
regulations for the competition.
The competition is divided into two sections,:

Section 1 Prepared speech
Section 2 Impromptu speech

For section 1 (Prepared speech), contestants are to
observe the following rules

The contestants should deliver a prepared speech on a
topic of their choice for 4 to 6 minutes.
A warning bell will be sounded at the 5th minute and a
final bell at the 6th minute. Marks will be deducted
thereafter.







For section 2 (impromptu speech), contestants are to
observe the following rules:
The Contestants are given a topic, 4 minutes
before they are due to present the speech.
All contestants speak on the same topic.
The time allocated for the impromptu speech is
3 minutes.
A warning bell will be sounded at the 2nd
minute and a final bell at the 3rd minute. Marks
will be deducted thereafter.
The judging criteria for both speeches are on two
aspects which are subject matter and the use of
the language.

The important things for the contestants are to
make sure that you know your direction and set
a focus for your speech.
